people said the same about orthopaedic beds, fresh-food delivery, and groomers who cost more than our own haircuts. now they’re simply how good dog owners do things.

houseofdog is for people who already give their dog the best of everything else, and who know that just-groomed moment is the best part of the week.

Turns out you can spend twenty years solving complicated medical science problems and still get undone by a very simple one: my dog stinks, and he refuses to stop doing the things that make him stink.

so houseofdog wasn’t a plan. it was a reaction. one very smelly, very muddy, very loved reaction.

ralph still doesn’t know what he started. he just knows he smells better for it now.

we did not expect to spend this much of our week scrolling through dog-human lookalikes, laughing out loud, and getting genuinely emotional about people’s stories but here we are.

thank you to everyone who entered, voted, and shared this around - the bond on display across every single photo was the whole point, and you all delivered way more than we hoped for.
