☀️

I’ve been MIA for the last couple of weeks on a muchhhh needed holiday to rest, reset and recharge.

Before heading away, I didn’t actually realise, amongst the “I should do this, achieve that, make sure I tick off x, y and z on my list of life” just how fatigued, lifeless and drained I was feeling. I know that sounds full on, but I’m sure if you tune in to the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday etc repeat of the working weeks, it can sure feel this way. Obviously, it all depends on your connection to your soul and self, and what you actually do to make a financial living. I know many souls who spend their days weaving magic and finding that sweet spot of energy exchange with financial abundance, but for me, I was working first, playing second, and resting last 😮‍💨

Where did my lack of trust in the universe start to take front and centre in my days? I know deep down how abundant I am and how magic my days are, but I was being bogged down by too much that wasn’t mine to carry.

Taking time to be away from home, just with my beautiful wife and doggo, my skin cleared, I had zero fluid retention in my legs, I wasn’t feeling overwhelmed and suffocated, and I wasn’t tight and stiff in my body. I felt happy. I noticed rainbows in the sky again, I heard birds talking to me and I listened to the whispers of the trees. My world opened up to the magical place I know it to be. I was clear and I felt me again ✨

You’re probably thinking “ummm yes, holidays always make us feel fine and dandy!” but it made me start to ask, should I really need weeks off, away from my home, my beautiful place of work and my family to feel this good and vibrant? I don’t think so!

We need to love each day as a restful holiday amongst doing “life”. This is what I am planning to implement in my life when I get back into creating my magical empire. What do you do everyday to reconnect to your own innate nature? Life is too important to live for the next “holiday”, so let’s start enjoying it today. If you need to switch off and switch up your energy, do something simple today to clear your space and move some energy around✨

Wake before sunrise. Drink salt and lemon water on rising. Write down your gratitude list. Do 20mins of meditation or breathwork. Stretch. Hit the gym. Hit the pavement and run. Eat a wholefood, gluten free, dairy free, refined sugar free breakfast. Drink your coffee 1 hour after waking up. Drink 2 litres of high vibe, chlorine free water a day. Eat a lunch filled with greens and phytonutrients from plants. Eat a lunch with meat only. Have a cold shower after work. Eat dinner before 6pm. Turn phones off by 6.30. Stare at the moon. Read 10 pages of a book before bed. Repeat.

All of the above is what is thrown at us constantly from health “experts”, social media and every Tik Tok video these days. But honestly, it all just sounds so exhausting and inauthentic 😮‍💨

Don’t get me wrong, I do the majorly of the above on the daily, but I also prioritise not doing these things too.

We are always being told to have a balance between doing and resting, but with so much information constantly bombarding us about what we “should do” for health, it can get very overwhelming.

When was the last time you read a book, in bed, with a hot cacao? When was the last time you slept in? Had a bath for the pleasure of it? Actually turned your phone off (😮!)? If you can’t remember, take this post as a huge sign to stop all the noise and the “doing” to achieve health, and calm the heck down and nourish the part of you that is craving the rest🧘

We don’t see birds or lions or dogs or trees in constant “go mode”. So take a leaf out of Mother Natures book and enjoy hibernating a couple of days a week 🍂 🤫 Your immune system and nervous system will thank you for it.
