Four people, one round of tapping, four different nervous system shifts.
Inside Safe Ground last night, before our Tap & Breathe exercise, I asked everyone to rate where they were at. Not a general "how are you" but a number on what their system was actually doing.
Here's where the room started:
Sympathetic activation, 4/10
Shutdown exhaustion, 8/10
Dorsal vagal, 9/10
Freeze, 5/10
Then we did one round of EFT Tapping together. Here's where the room landed:
4/10 became 1/10, with a stomach that felt less tight
9/10 became 4/10, with less shutdown
8/10 became 5/10, still tired, but with less resistance to the tiredness
5/10 noticed her breathing went deeper on its own. That's relaxation showing up in the body without being forced.
Four systems. Four different starting points. One shared practice. Everyone moved.
This is what I mean when I talk about regulation in real time. It isn't a concept you understand and then apply later. It's something the body does while you're in it, and the rating scale makes it visible so you stop second-guessing whether anything happened.
It also shows why doing this in a group matters. Co-regulation does a lot of the work. Being in a room with other people whose systems are settling helps your own system find the way down.
Safe Ground is where this happens every week. Live sessions, practitioner-led, capped at 50 people so it stays personal. ๐ง
