Building Sri Lanka’s Future Surveyor Workforce in Healthcare Quality and Safety
ACHS International is honoured to partner with the Ministry of Health and Mass Media through Patient Safety and Accreditation Bureau, Sri Lanka, to deliver the National Surveyor Training Program from 20–31 July 2026.
Over this intensive two-week program, 60 senior healthcare professionals selected by the Ministry of Health are undertaking training to become national surveyors, strengthening Sri Lanka’s capability to assess, improve and sustain healthcare quality and patient safety across the country.
The first cohort pictured here is participating in a comprehensive program covering accreditation principles, survey methodology, evaluation techniques, patient-centred care, risk management and quality improvement. The program is designed to build a highly skilled cadre of surveyors who can support consistent, evidence-based assessment of healthcare services throughout Sri Lanka.
The training is being delivered by the ACHS faculty:
✅ Louise Cuskelly – Executive Director, ACHS International & Consulting
✅ Darlene Hennessy – Director, Assessor Division
✅ Vince Gaglioti – Lead Assessor
This initiative reflects the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health’s commitment to strengthening healthcare quality systems and advancing safer, more effective care for patients nationwide.
We thank the Patient Safety and Accreditation Bureau for its leadership and vision and congratulate all participants on their commitment to healthcare excellence.
