Part 3 - Let's use a practical tool.
Here is something nobody told me when I was running myself into the ground for a corporation that replaced me the moment I was no longer useful.
Your time will not protect itself.
Nobody is going to hand you space to breathe. Nobody is going to look at your calendar and say you need rest, go and take it. If you do not block it, it will be filled. Every single time.
This is the most practical thing I do now and it changed everything.
I put myself in my own calendar first.
Not after the client calls. Not after the school run. Not after everything else is done. First.
Even if it is thirty minutes.
Even if it is a walk, a meditation, a slow coffee with no phone. It goes in the calendar like a meeting I cannot cancel. Because I am not available to anyone else if I am running on empty.
I spent years being the most available person in every room. I was also the most exhausted, the most disconnected from myself, and the least healthy I had ever been.
Now I work for myself, on my terms, and I am healthier than I was at 40.
That did not happen by accident. It happened because I started treating my own time as non-negotiable.
Try this today. Open your calendar. Block thirty minutes this week that belongs only to you. Name it something that makes you smile when you see it.
That is your starting point.
đź’¬ Tell me one thing you have changed today in your calender for you? What new activity are you doing for you?
