HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL OUR KAIA DADS 💪🏽

Did you know dads experience hormonal changes when their baby is born too? 🥹✨

Introducing Prolactin - also known as the “parenting hormone.”

Research shows fathers can experience an increase in prolactin after baby arrives, helping support bonding, responsiveness, nurturing and protective instincts 🫶🏽

Those newborn cuddles, the constant staring, the urge to protect and soothe their baby... it’s not “just emotional.” Their body is adapting to parenthood too.

I love watching the dads as they meet their babies for the first time 🤎

WHAT A MONTH 🤎 ✨

26 couples supported and educated through Kaia Birth • Birth Classes • Sydney, Central Coast & Newcastle .

3 families supported through birth.

And yesterday, getting to support one final mama as she welcomed her baby into the world ✨

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to properly put into words what it means to be invited into these spaces.

To educate families as they prepare for birth, and then to be trusted to walk beside them through the actual experience… it’s such a privilege.

Feeling so incredibly thankful, honoured and excited for everything Kaia is becoming.

What a way to wrap up a massive month 🤎

✨ A healing VBAC story - INDI & BRENDAN ✨

This beautiful Kaia mama came into her second birth with a goal - to feel informed, supported and confident in her choices, and to give herself the best opportunity for a VBAC🤎

Through days of prodromal labour, conversations around induction and those early hours at the hospital, we stayed connected over the phone - talking through what was happening, her options, and bringing her back to everything she had learnt in Kaia Birth.

Indi an Brendan used ALL of their tools. Asking questions. Weighing up risk vs benefit. Making informed decisions. Changing course when they decided it was right. Moving her body, using her TENS, resting, breathing, advocating for herself and trusting her body.

Then, on her due date, their little IVF miracle was placed into her arms. Another Genea Bella Vista Fertility baby 🥺

Her VBAC. Her choices. Her birth. 🤎

Birth education isn’t about teaching you how to have one particular type of birth. It’s about giving you the knowledge, tools and confidence to navigate your birth - and this mama did exactly that.

I’m still on a high from yesterday’s Central Coast Kaia Birth • Birth Classes • Sydney, Central Coast & Newcastle class! ✨

Gifted flowers halfway through class from the local Poppy lane flower Boutique 💐 flowers delivered 💐 (Thank you 🫶🏽 MJ )

And trusted with the education and preparation for birth of six couples with one couple aiming for a VBAC! 💥

I was genuinely on such a high heading into this weekend’s class after having the privilege of supporting one of our Kaia couples at our local Gosford Hospital earlier this week. 🤎

Alex & Beau 🤎

Just finished our refresh for birth session, and feeling all the feels!

Alex and Beau came to Kaia Birth years ago for their first daughter Banksii, they came again to the new Kaia Birth program for their second daughter Goldie, and I was their doula along side Dr Marissa Martin for such an incredible birth. ✨

And now, here we are, preparing for their third baby. 🤰🏼

Such an honour to build these friendships within our Kaia community. I’m so thankful for your trust throughout this journey of your life!

Kaia really is more than just a birth class 🤎
