🌳 Japan Forest Bathing Retreat — DAY 4 🌳
Today we left the moss forests behind and journeyed into the beautiful Kiso region.
In the morning, we visited Suwa Taisha, one of Japan’s oldest and most sacred Shinto shrines ⛩️
Our day then continued with a cultural experience as we visited Yamatowa Kyogi factory in Ina City and learned about the traditional process of making Kyogi — thin sheets of fragrant red pine wood crafted with incredible skill and care.
A huge thank you to
for organising the factory tour again.🙏
Even without a forest walk today, being inside the factory felt deeply connected to nature. Surrounded by the calming scent of red pine wood, it carried the same soothing essence as a Forest Bathing experience 🌲
As we travelled closer to Kiso, the scenery slowly transformed from urban landscapes into dense mountain forests, reminding us how connected these traditions are to the natural world.
We safely arrived at our third hotel and ended the day with a warm toast of Japanese sake 🍶💙
