Associate Professor Nathan Johnson, BMedSc, Master of Health Science (Hons), PhD, is one of our two principle investigators. A/Prof. Johnson's research focuses on the interaction between physical activity and fat metabolism in health and disease. Within the Faculty of Health Sciences, he teaches undergraduate exercise science and postgraduate exercise physiology. His teaching philosophy focuses the development of practical skill mastery for exercise physiology and the promotion of evidence-based clinical practice.

Prof. Stephen M. Twigg, MBBS(Hons-I), PhD, FRACP is one of our two principle investigators. Prof. Twigg is a physician-scientist translational researcher, Kellion Professor of Endocrinology and Stan Clark Chair in Diabetes, in the Sydney Medical School, and Charles Perkins Centre, the University of Sydney; plus Head of Dept of Endocrinology and Medical Head of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Laboratories, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney.

The Pace-G Study is a clinical trial examining the effect of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on liver steatosis. We have been recruiting participants since July 2018, and will continue to recruit new participants until late 2021.
