A Message to Our Valued Patients
At Camden Central Family Practice, we're committed to providing our community with high-quality, compassionate healthcare every day.
From 1 July 2026, there will be a small adjustment to some of our private consultation fees.
Like many healthcare providers, we've experienced significant increases in the cost of delivering quality healthcare. This change will help us continue providing the longer appointment times, comprehensive care, and high standards our patients deserve.
💲 Our recommended consultation fees from 1 July 2026 will be:
✅ Level A (Item 3) – Short Consultation: $55 (No change)
⬆️ Level B (Item 23) – Standard Consultation: $105 (Previously $95)
✅ Level C (Item 36) – Longer Consultation: $175 (No change)
⬆️ Level D (Item 44) – Prolonged Consultation: $225 (Previously $205)
🩺 A reminder: The doctors consulting from Camden Central Family Practice are independent contracted practitioners who determine their own billing. While the practice recommends consultation fees, the final fee charged remains at the discretion of your treating doctor.
💚 Why are fees changing?
Medicare rebates have increased only minimally over recent years and have not kept pace with the real cost of providing modern general practice care. This fee adjustment helps ensure we can continue to provide safe, comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare in a sustainable way.
🙏 We'd also like to share that this is our first consultation fee increase in approximately two years. We've worked hard to keep changes to a minimum while continuing to invest in the quality of care we provide.
