๐ฟ Fridays with Willow Tree: 52 Questions Answered ๐ฟ
Q. What advice do you have for managing guilt or regret after a death?
Guilt and regret are common emotions after losing someone we love. Many people find themselves replaying conversations, wishing they had done things differently, or questioning decisions made during difficult times.
It's important to remember that grief often brings these feelings to the surface, even when we did the very best we could with the knowledge, circumstances, and resources we had at the time.
Rather than focusing on what cannot be changed, try to acknowledge your feelings with kindness and compassion. Talk with trusted family members, friends, or a professional counsellor. Share memories, celebrate the positive moments, and remember that no relationship is perfect.
Healing doesn't come from having all the answersโit comes from accepting that love, loss, and grief are deeply human experiences.
At Willow Tree, we encourage families to be gentle with themselves during their grief journey and to seek support whenever they need it.
