At Lead Your Life Disability, quality support starts with investing in our people.
In March, our team completed PART™ training (Predict, Assess & Respond to Threatening/Aggressive Behaviour), a proactive approach to preventing and managing aggression/challenging behaviour that aligns with a positive support framework and aims for safer, better outcomes for everyone involved.
PART™ strengthens the consistency of our practice by building shared skills and language across the team, including:
• Predicting and assessing risk early, before situations escalate
• Responding within a clear hierarchy that begins with the least restrictive approaches
• Maintaining professional self-management (mood, attitude and motivation) to support safer interactions
• Strengthening incident documentation and debriefing so we can reflect, learn and improve
Why this matters: when staff are well-trained and supported, they are better equipped to provide professional interventions that improve safety and reduce risk, helping create stable, respectful environments where Participants can thrive.
We’re proud to keep building a culture of learning, accountability and care, because better preparation supports better outcomes.
