Here we go again 🙄 Shoulder pain is one thing I have a lot of personal experience with. These are the 5 things I’ll be doing or (or not doing) to make sure I have a speedy recovery:
1. Don’t panic
2. Keep Moving
3. Don’t do random instagram exercises
4. Reflect on what’s different (or what might need to change!)
5. Seek professional help if it isn’t going away!
Good Luck!

All jokes aside, these can be some of the most satisfying cases to turn around. Pain is frustrating, especially if it messes with basic function, like sleep and walking. Knowing how much your pain affects these things is critical to helping you get better, so don’t hold back!

Chronic back pain can limit your ability to take part in family, social and work activities - and it’s not just physical limitations. It can also impact mental well-being, contributing to stress, isolation and fatigue.

Chronic pain is typically defined as pain that persists for 12 weeks or longer, even after the initial cause has improved. It may be constant or intermittent, and can affect how you move, sleep, work and engage in everyday life. Over time, it can also influence mood, energy levels and overall quality of life.

If you’re living with back pain, it’s time to adjust your thinking and get back to feeling good.

Back pain relief is not always as simple as masking symptoms with medication. Recent studies suggest that opioids commonly prescribed for acute low back and neck pain may not effectively relieve pain and, in some cases, could even contribute to worsening symptoms over time.

This Spinal Health Month, focus on proactive and evidence-based approaches to spinal health through movement, posture care, and professional assessment. Early intervention and conservative care can play an important role in supporting long-term wellbeing and mobility.

If you’re experiencing ongoing back or neck pain, book an assessment with Necks Backs Sports and take a step towards better spinal health naturally.
