Not all treatments are what you’d expect 👀

Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) is driven by inflammation, which means the right treatment needs to calm things down quickly.

Some options might sound like they fit… but only one is actually the cornerstone of care.

And when it’s the right one, people often notice a big shift in how they feel within days ✨

Did you guess it right? Or did this one surprise you?

Alison’s journey: back to walking after an ankle fracture 🦶

Alison had recently fractured her ankle, which made everyday movement more difficult and meant she had to put a pause on some of her usual plans, including an upcoming holiday ☀️ to Spain where being able to walk comfortably was really important to her.

She stayed consistent with her sessions throughout recovery, even while in a walking boot, and continued her exercise physiology work 💪 with appropriate adjustments along the way. Over time, she was able to come out of the boot and gradually return to walking 🚶‍♀️‍➡️ again without pain, rebuilding confidence with day-to-day movement.

A meaningful moment for her was being able to walk comfortably while overseas and enjoy full days on her feet again without her ankle holding her back! 🙌

Osteoporosis can develop quietly, often without obvious symptoms 😮

The positive news is there’s a lot you can do to understand your risk and take action early. Bone density scans, FRAX, and simple lifestyle factors all help guide the right next steps for your bone health 💪

If you’ve been curious about where you stand or how to support stronger bones, this is a great place to start ✨

When knee pain lingers, it can start to shape your choices — fewer outings, shorter walks, less confidence. This 6-week program brings clarity to what’s driving your discomfort and how exercise, diet, and education can help. You’ll work through guided sessions to strengthen muscles around the knee, enhance balance, and improve endurance. By combining knowledge and action, you’ll discover new ways to move comfortably and trust your joints again.

Next week’s session will centre around the question: “How do you keep your affected joints moving?” with the conversation guided by what matters most to the group on the day. Many people find these sessions helpful not just for sharing ideas, but for hearing what’s working for others and feeling less alone in it. We keep these sessions supportive and friendly so everyone feels comfortable joining in. If possible, switch on your microphone and camera so we can include you in the discussion more naturally. It’s a safe place to connect with others who have lived experience of RA.
