Some people will study your work harder than they ever studied their own potential.

They’ll borrow your language, mirror your style, even echo your ideas and convince themselves that proximity to your vision is the same thing as building one, It isn’t.

A creator knows what it cost to make something from nothing. The sleepless nights, the risks involved and the constant wondering if it will all work.

No one sees the years spent getting to where you are , the no sleep, the costs financially. The years spent learning how to survive storms while still creating through them because you have passion.

The copycats only ever see the finished cathedral, and they truly believe it’s easy, because you made it look that way from the outside, they change a few things up and attempt to call it their own.

But remember this people who mimic are often hoping for shortcuts to a life they never had the discipline to build themselves. They want the aesthetic without the sacrifice. The applause without the apprenticeship. The empire without the years spent laying stone by stone in silence.

Does it make it right? No.

Understand this clearly. Someone reproducing your work does not reduce your value it exposes their lack of originality. A person who constantly takes from others is usually creatively bankrupt relying on siphoning energy because they have never learned how to generate their own.

You are not “a one hit wonder.” You are the source. The architect. The mind behind the blueprint and people who truly build from the ground up will always outlast people who imitate from the sidelines.

Mimicry may be called flattery, but endless imitation without substance is usually insecurity wearing someone else’s skin and those of you who work with me know I’ll call a spade a spade.
