🌎💚World Cerebral Palsy Day

Today is a day to celebrate and recognise the uniqueness of every person living with cerebral palsy, their strengths, achievements, individuality and stories.

More than 50 million people worldwide live with cerebral palsy, making it the most common lifelong physical disability.

It’s also an opportunity to raise awareness, encourage understanding and continue creating a world where everyone is included, supported and valued.

✨ Happy Friday! Here’s a little challenge to finish the week! 💪🎯

It might look like a bit of fun, but there’s a lot happening behind the scenes! 🧠✨

While holding the ball with both feet, we’re working on:

💪 Core strength

🦵 Bilateral coordination

⚖️ Balance & body awareness

🧩 Motor planning

🎯 Focus & concentration

It’s amazing how one activity can support so many important developmental skills! 🌟

Would you give this challenge a try? 💪😊

Our catalogue delivery project continues to be a great way for our young adults to build real-world skills. 🌟

From start to finish, they take the lead on every step, separating, folding, and delivering the catalogues. Each part of the process plays an important role in skill development.

Separating and folding build fine motor coordination and task sequencing — the ability to follow a series of steps in order, which supports focus and independence in everyday tasks. Delivering the catalogues builds road safety awareness and community navigation skills, helping our young adults grow more confident moving through the world around them.

This project offers more than just an activity — it’s a meaningful, hands-on way for our young adults to build the practical, real-world skills that support greater independence in daily life.

Happy Friday! 🌟You know what that means around here for our young adults — community outing day!

Today, our Young Adults headed to the Chinese Garden of Friendship to explore, but these outings are about so much more than a nice walk.

Getting out and about gives our Young Adults the chance to practise real-life skills: crossing roads safely, catching public transport, connecting with peers, following directions, and building the confidence to navigate the world independently. 🤩

It’s not just about having fun and being out — it’s about building the skills and confidence needed for everyday life.
