🚨 URGENT HIRING – FEMALE DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS | CASTLE HILL, NSW 🚨
Total Disability Care Pty Ltd is seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting a participant in the Castle Hill, NSW area.
💰 Pay Rate: $40+ per hour plus applicable loadings
About the Role
This role involves providing person-centred 2:1 support to a participant both at home and in the community.
The participant requires assistance with daily activities, personal care, community access and transport. The participant uses a wheelchair for community access and has specific transport and safety support requirements.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities
✅ Supporting the participant in her home
✅ Providing 2:1 community access support
✅ Assisting with wheelchair use during community activities
✅ Transporting the participant to appointments, outings and activities
✅ Following the participant’s Behaviour Support Plan and individual support requirements
✅ Following approved transport and safety procedures, including use of the participant’s vehicle harness and buckle cover
✅ Supporting the participant to make choices and maintain independence
✅ Maintaining professional boundaries at all times
✅ Completing accurate progress notes, incident documentation and other required records
✅ Following all manual-handling, safety and organisational procedures
Mandatory Requirements
✔ Current Australian Driver’s Licence
✔ Must have a reliable and suitable vehicle that can safely accommodate the participant and the required vehicle harness setup
✔ Confidence providing transport and community access support
✔ Disability support experience and/or relevant qualifications
✔ Current National Police Check
✔ Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
✔ Working With Children Check (WWCC)
✔ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✔ Good communication and documentation skills
✔ Ability to follow Behaviour Support Plans and participant-specific instructions
✔ Reliable, patient and committed to providing consistent support
✔ Comfortable working as part of a 2:1 support team
Experience supporting participants with complex needs and restrictive practices will be highly regarded.
