An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and tissue from the upper arm area.
It may be considered by patients who have loose upper arm skin after weight loss or changes in skin elasticity over time.
During consultation, several factors are discussed, including skin quality, scar position, recovery, compression garments, wound healing, activity restrictions and whether the procedure is suitable.
As with all surgery, brachioplasty carries risks and requires an appropriate recovery period. Results and healing vary between individuals.
