Child says to mother
"Why mum, why did you put work before us? Why didn't you just say no?, why didn't you just get another job?"..
A question I often pondered on, 'why didn't I just say no'?
To ALL of it,from my own childhood to now.
All I could do was look at him, tears forming in my eyes I pulled him towards me and held him tight, " I'm so sorry baby, truly I am.
Already overwhelmed with everything he runs off in side, with me sitting there with so much guilt, as he's right why didn't I just say no. It's a simple word right?
