I told a client to stop educating for a week and just be honest. Here’s what happened…

She was posting tips every week.

Good tips. Accurate tips. The kind that get saved BUT never acted upon.

Nothing was converting.

So we had a conversation about what she actually wanted to say (not what she thought she was supposed to post). And something she’d been holding back came out. A real moment. A hard season she’d been through that was directly connected to the problem her clients come to her with.

She was nervous to post it. It felt too personal. Too raw. Not professional enough.

She posted it anyway.

The comments were different. The DMs were different. People weren’t saying “great tip” they were saying “Oh girl, this is so me!”

That’s the difference between content that informs and content that connects.

Tips tell people what to do.

Stories, real stories makes them feel actually heard, connected and understood.

People don’t often hire the most qualified person in the room. They want trust and connection, and hire the one who made them feel the most seen.
