Pregnancy is incredible... but it can also be physically demanding. šŸ’›

As your baby grows, your body is constantly adapting to changes in posture, weight distribution and hormones.

Back pain, pelvic discomfort, stiffness, sciatic-type pain and disrupted sleep are all common experiences during pregnancy.

While these changes are often considered "normal", that doesn't always mean they're easy to live with.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy focuses on supporting comfortable movement and helping your body adapt to the physical changes that occur along the way.

Pregnant and wondering whether what you're experiencing is normal? Feel free to send me a message.

Sometimes these issues seem to come out of nowhere.

Other times they've been building up gradually for weeks, months or even years before they become difficult to ignore.

Whatever the cause, the goal isn't just to cover up symptoms. It's to help you get back to gardening, getting in and out of the car and sleeping the way you should be.

If something has been bothering you and you're not sure whether it's worth getting checked, feel free to send me a message. šŸ’›

That's just not how your body works. Pain, discomfort and stiffness are all signals from your body telling you things aren't right and in many cases it just keeps getting worse over time. There is a solution to your feeling...

Feeling stiff, slouched and low on energy after sitting all day?

You don't need a complicated exercise program to start moving better.

These are 3 simple movements I often recommend to people who spend long hours at a desk. They help get your body moving, encourage your spine and shoulders to move through their available range, and can be a great way to break up long periods of sitting.

The best exercise isn't always the hardest one. Sometimes it's simply the one you'll actually do.

Try these during your next workday and see how you feel.

Which exercise do you think your body needs most right now?

Kids today are spending hours sitting at school, carrying heavy bags, looking down at screens and then rushing off to sport or activities.

That's a lot for growing bodies to keep up with.

Sometimes parents notice:Ā

• slouchingĀ

• stiffnessĀ

• constantly leaning to one sideĀ

• complaints of neck or back sorenessĀ

• headachesĀ

• awkward movement patternsĀ Ā

• kids seeming uncomfortable after sitting for long periods

And sometimes kids say nothing at all — because they assume it's normal.

Chiropractic care for kids is about supporting healthy movement, posture and function as they grow šŸ’›

Not sure whether what you're seeing is normal or worth checking? Send me a message and I'd be happy to help.

Most people don’t book an appointment because of one dramatic injury.

It’s usually because they’re tired of:

• constantly feeling stiff
• being distracted by pain
• struggling through work days
• avoiding movement
• feeling older than they should

These are some of the things we’ve been helping people with in the clinic lately ā˜ļø 😊

Most people stretch their neck by pulling on it…
…but the muscles at the base of the skull often just stay tight and overloaded.

This is one of my favourite ways to help release that ā€œheavy head / tension headache / stiff neckā€ feeling at home.

How to do it:
• Place the ball at the base of your skull
• Slowly roll side to side along the muscles
• Pause and hold on any particularly tender spots
• Return to the middle
• Slightly tuck your chin and repeat to target different muscles
• Repeat on the other side
• You can also use your forearms on your forehead to apply extra pressure

A lot of people carry tension in this area from:

• desk work
• stress
• driving
• screens
• clenching/tension patterns

Avoid if this reproduces dizziness, numbness or sharp pain.

Save this for later if your neck feels like it’s carrying the weight of your whole week. šŸ™ƒ
