Another trip around the sun ☀️

Not the birthday I had in mind, as also celebrating over 6 months on 24hr Bedrest!!

It’s been quite the year physically & mentally.

Thankfully, I live in the knowledge I have overcome 100% of my worst times in all my years on this planet, therefore I will continue to get over any other 💩 that comes my way,

I will always fight for myself & the life I want to live. And will continue to be grateful for my tenaciousness & all I have in this little life of mine 🥳

It’s all about for the simple things in life ☕️

2 years ago today, I was celebrating just having got out of surgery to heal a precious wound.

I thought the couple of months in hospital recovering was going to be hard work, but the universe had other plans!!

I was up and about for 20 months living my life, then the scar line of the surgery I had opened up, due to complications I was unaware of after surgery.

18 weeks later, I’m still on 24 hour bedrest, my physical and mental strength and resilience have been tested, I have parts of my body that now ache, that I didn’t even know existed!!

Things are healing and moving in the right direction, which I am grateful for every day, patience as they say is a virtue.

Apparently life will only throw at us what it thinks we can handle, which is a fair point, but I’d like to pass the baton on now, I need a break from healing and these 4 walls 🛌

But I accept that my journey is my journey, and I’m grateful for all it has taught me so far.

Don’t let your problems stop you…

Look at your challenges as a new way to go forward!!

4 months of 24hr Bedrest has put me in a position to view how I face what is thrown at me & come out stronger on the other side 💪

Fighting for the quality of my life, has been my main goal during my times of challenge.

Supporting myself with simple tools & practices in each day to help me thrive.

Using visualisation, even in my darkest days, supports me through visualising what I want from my day & most importantly my future.

Gratitude has brought in the light, that slither of belief, to help me see the other side.

Finding the little moments that pull me through my struggles, can decrease the overwhelm.

The challenges have made me appreciate what I have in life, they have woken me up to really appreciating it all.

One focus & step at a time, not trying to take it all on in one go, but breaking it down into bite size pieces, to help me get through each day with a positive,strong mindset, supporting me to
Keep pushing forward to the future & taking part in life once again.

No excuses

Just because I’m on bedrest doesn’t mean I can’t work out

Aiming to stay as strong and healthy during this time, so when I do get Back up again, i am the strongest version of me I can be 💪

3 months of 24hr Bedrest!!

These past 3 months, I’ve had to get comfortable with the not knowing.

Not knowing how long this healing phase will be, or if the wound will heal on its own.

Not knowing if other ailments will appear or what damage this long period of Bedrest may have on my body.

Not knowing when I can next sit up & take part in Life again.

The not knowing can take a toll physically & mentally, but I’ve made sure I’ve met myself where I am right now.

Giving myself time & grace to be, to accept the situation & all the emotions that go with it.

Letting go, so I can get comfortable with the not knowing & living in the belief that my body has always got me through my greatest challenges.
