A monthly program for Jewish children aged 10–15, BIG Connections offers fun group outings with inspiring young adult mentors - helping kids build confidence, friendships and new skills in a safe and inclusive space.

Whether they’re navigating school pressures, social challenges, life changes or could simply use a little more connection, BIG Connections could be just what they need.

What a week celebrating 90 years of JewishCare. From chicken soup at lunch to coffee at breakfast, we celebrated the people who make JewishCare the community it is. We sang happy birthday to a client, listened to a 90-year-old violin, and enjoyed many special moments.

Throughout the week, staff, clients and volunteers added to a collaborative artwork - a beautiful reflection of the many people, stories and connections that make up our JewishCare community.

For 90 years, the JewishCare community has been really, really caring.

This week we are celebrating the staff, volunteers and clients who have shaped JewishCare over the past 90 years. Every conversation, every act of kindness, every helping hand and every shared moment has helped build the community we know today.

We know that every person in our community has been touched by what happened in Bondi - especially those of us who were there or had family attend. We also know that storytelling has a very special and important role in both Jewish culture and trauma recovery. We are therefore committed to presenting a Brave Talks event, focussed exclusively on stories from Bondi. Brave Talks - which is presented by JewishCare and The Choice Foundation - is an evening of live storytelling, where 3 community members each share their journey from the stage. We understand that not everyone in our community is ready to share or listen to stories about Bondi. But for those who are, Brave Talks is a safe and supportive space for us to come together and do just that.

Over eight Brave Talks events, we have learnt that there can be real value in choosing to share your story with the support of an speaker and writing coach, there to help you uncover the message you most want to share.

For 90 years we’ve been saying “Just have a little more.”

Because Jewish chicken soup has never just been about the soup. It’s about making someone feel seen, cared for and a little less alone. That’s the heart of JewishCare, and it has been for 90 years.

We have really, really cared for our community, wherever it is needed the most, at any stage of life - from Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Support or NDIS.

This August, we’re excited to celebrate this special birthday with our staff, clients, and volunteers, honouring our shared journey and our community that make it all possible.
