After an incredible 3-week European adventure with Vanessa, I’m heading home; feeling refreshed, inspired and very grateful.

From Greece 🇬🇷 to Tuscany 🇮🇹 then Prague 🇨🇿 and finally my favourite city… Paris 🇫🇷 🥐🥂

It has been the most wonderful holiday, and I’m looking forward to getting back to the clinic, seeing your familiar faces and helping you feel your best again.

I’m very excited to announce that in a little over 3 x weeks, I’ll be heading off on a European holiday with my wife Vanessa - her first European Vacation - for a few weeks of sunshine, sightseeing and a little R&R!

Travelling with first timer Vanessa will be amazing; being able to soak in the history, vibrancy, culture, people and most definitely the food!

We will do a whirlwind adventure which will include Greece, Italy, Czechia and France, ending in my favourite city in the world Paris.

My last day in clinic will be Saturday 12th September,
and I’ll be back at the massage table from Tuesday 6th October,
following the October Long Weekend.

If you’re hoping to squeeze in a treatment before I head away, I’d recommend booking now as appointments are filling up in the lead-up to my break.

2026 has been a year of firsts for me… Having now ticked a Half Marathon and the City2Surf off my bucket list, I’m eagerly trying a few other new pursuits!

Vanessa, myself and Heidi decided to give Pickleball a go for the first time, and then, to keep the momentum of firsts going, we embarked on our first round of golf together along with Heidi’s boyfriend.

We had a lot of laughs playing Pickleball as we tried to negotiate playing on a very windy day, understand the rules and scoring (this is very tricky at first!) and we agreed that we’ll definitely be back for more.

Whereas the Golf was a little more competitive!

Oldies Vs the Young Ones at Cammeray, the youngies took the glory with a wonderful putt from Heidi on the last hole- so we “losers” had to shout the winners to a drink at the clubhouse 🍻

Getting outside, moving the body, trying something new and spending time with friends or family is certainly good for the soul, the mind, the emotions and the body.

Remember to stretch before AND after exercising, especially if you’re embarking on something new as there will be muscles being used that you may have forgotten exist - until the next morning 😆

Having run my first ever City2Surf on Sunday morning, I've now had a chance for my legs to recover and to reflect on achieving this goal - it’s one I've had for many years.

Another local business I want to shout out (and by local, I mean next door to my clinic!) is Jiji’s Rescue Cat Cafe 🐈‍⬛🐈

Yuki and her team make incredible coffees, but more importantly, she is providing a safe home for cats & kittens who have been abandoned or neglected until they find their forever homes.

Yuki has already adopted out over 100 cats!

And just like that, it's the 1st August - Pinch & a Punch 😜

So far, 2026 has been a fantastic year and I would like to thank you all for your continued trust and support 🙏

Personally it's been a year of firsts, like running a Half Marathon in May, something I never thought possible…

Next up is Sydney’s famous “City 2 Surf” - coming up next Sunday.

Heidi and I have signed up and will run together once again!

And while this hasn't happened yet - it will be my first ever attempt - it’s something I have wanted to do since I was young.

Many clients and friends have been lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful European Summer getaway ☀️
That return flight however can be a lot on your body…

The time changes, the cramped conditions, the dehydration and the lack of movement, puts our bodies under stress, and it can take a bit to get the circulation and lymph moving around the body again.

These tips are worth remembering if you’re heading on a long haul trip...

Deep diaphragmatic breathing is also one of the best natural "pumps" for the lymphatic system.
Taking 5–10 slow belly breaths every hour or so during the flight can help stimulate lymph flow through the thoracic duct.

And of course remedial massage before but especially after can assist your body return to it’s optimal state fast.
