TIP 2: Sun safety.
While natural light exposure is so important to healthy eye growth, it is important we protect our eyes from UV exposure. Wearing a hat, sunglasses and playing in the shade (or outside of peak UV times) are important ways to reduce UV exposure. TIP 1: Outdoor play.

2 hours of natural light exposure per day has been proven to reduce the development and progression of myopia. Myopia is projected to effect half of the worlds population by 2050 and leads to an increased risk of eye diseases in adulthood. Importantly, myopia progression is linked to the intensity of light, not UV therefore we can maintain safety from UV exposure while also getting the benefits. All outdoor light is good, including on overcast days and in the shade.
