My Peaceful Universe Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Isabelle Fitzgerald. This started my journey towards practising mindfulness and meditation.

Neuro Transformational Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation to master anxiety, heal trauma and re-build loving relationships 🧡 Transformative coaching for kids, teens and adults. 👉 https://bit.ly/4bNwBVv I personally have been married for more than 25 years and like all partnerships my husband and I have had our ups and downs. The big shift came when I had my two amazing children and encountered debilitating anxiety during my mid-life. What happened next...

I then completed a Mindfulness-Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT) program which totally transformed my wellbeing and outlook on relationships and life. From there I became the founder and director of My Peaceful Universe. An organisation devoted to teaching mindfulness and meditation to kids, teens and adults struggling with anxiety to help them find peace, confidence and calm. After running mindfulness & meditation classes locally on Sydney's Northern Beaches for 5 years my program was launched into primary schools and and is now available to educators globally with over 10'000 downloads internationally. Now a Neuro Transformational Coach, I focus on rewiring both the nervous system and the mind, which is key to healing, breaking through anxiety and, rebuilding valuable relationships. As a leading anxiety relief and relationship coach. I passionately share my deep experience helping busy men and women, teenagers and kids struggling with stress and anxiety heal themselves and their relationships with in 6 weeks.

Have you ever wondered if you’re actually at peace…

Or if you just feel okay when everything is going your way?

It’s easy to feel steady when life is running smoothly and the week goes according to plan.

Nobody is upset with you.

Everything feels manageable, and the day simply flows.

It is such a common place to find ourselves.

It is so easy to mistake conditional comfort for true peace.

It feels like genuine calm.

Until life threw a curveball.

A sudden change in someone’s tone of voice.

An unexpected email arriving out of nowhere.

Or weekend plans falling apart at the last minute.

And your body reacts before you’ve had time to think.

The tightness in your chest.

Your heart races.

You start apologising just to keep the peace.

Checking in on everyone else to make sure they’re okay before you even take a breath.

And then that familiar thought arrives:

“Why am I back at square one?”

“I should be over this by now.”

But reacting in those moments doesn’t mean you’ve lost your progress.

Sometimes it’s simply an old protective pattern responding before you’ve had a chance to choose differently.

A familiar road your nervous system learnt a long time ago.

Real peace is finding your way back to yourself, even when life gets messy. 🤍

Have you ever understood a pattern completely… and still caught yourself thinking:

“I should be over this by now”?

My client Nicole had spent years doing the inner work.

Reading the books, meditating, talk therapy, and learning to sit with her feelings instead of running away from them.

She understood herself deeply.

Yet whenever that familiar heaviness or tightness in her chest returned, her mind would immediately start:

“What’s wrong with me?”
“Why can’t I move on?”
“How can I make this go away?”
“I’ve done all this work. Why am I still feeling like this?”

She would sit with the feeling.

She would allow it.

She would meditate.

But underneath it all, she was still trying to make the feeling disappear.

And when it came back, she felt disappointed, frustrated and exhausted by it all over again.

Because sometimes we can learn to turn towards an emotion…

but still be waiting for it to leave.

And when it comes back, we think something has gone wrong.

That we’re going backwards.

That all the work we’ve done isn’t working.

In Neuro Transformation Therapy, we look at the deeper beliefs and old emotional patterns that may still be running underneath.

And sometimes there is an old invisible program saying:

“I shouldn’t feel this.”
“This needs to go away.”
“I should be over this by now.”

But the return of an old feeling doesn’t necessarily mean you’re back at the beginning. 🤍

Perhaps instead of immediately fighting it or trying to make it disappear, we can soften and notice:

“Ahhh, there you are.”

Make room for what is here.

And continue living our day without needing the feeling to disappear first.

Have you ever caught yourself thinking:
“I should be over this by now”? 🤍

Have you ever had a heaviness or sadness seem to come from nowhere…

and almost immediately your mind starts:

“Why am I feeling like this?”

“I shouldn’t feel like this.”

“I should be over this by now.”

I’ve caught myself doing this too. 🤍

We meditate. We read the books. We do the inner work.

And then an uncomfortable feeling comes back and we wonder if we’re going backwards.

But sometimes there’s an old invisible program underneath it.

Perhaps somewhere along the way you learnt:

I have to be okay.

I have to be strong.

I should be able to cope.

I need to get rid of this feeling.

After enough repetition, these beliefs and responses can become so familiar that we don’t even realise they’re running.

They simply feel like us.

This is part of what I work with through Neuro Transformation Therapy (NTT).

We don’t only ask:

“Why do I feel this way?”

We explore the old beliefs and emotional patterns underneath the response, so we can begin responding differently.

Because sometimes the feeling isn’t the problem.

It’s the old program telling you the feeling shouldn’t be there.

And instead of fighting it, perhaps we can notice…

“Ahhh, there you are.”

Make room for what’s here.

And choose not to automatically travel down that old freeway again. 🤍

If you’ve done a lot of work on yourself but still find yourself falling into the same old patterns, send me the word CHANGE and we can have a chat.
