Thanks to the harvesting team from Taronga zoo for a great few days out in their plantation teaching Maintain Chainsaw and Cross Cut. The zoos plantation holds several species of native growth for a number of animals at the zoo and the team are regularly planting new stock and harvesting fresh growth.

Harvesting is not only green growth for food but also the trunks and forks for animals to sit in, biscuit size pieces for the monkeys to play with and different sized timber for wood work around the zoo. Well done team!

Congratulations to Jeremy Salter and Keith McReynolds for finishing Round one of The Australian Off Road Championship (AORC), Gold City 450 at Charters Towers on the weekend in the Remote Safety Solutions Can Am X3 #6183. With the event being the teams second event, the boys did well placing 12th out of 43 outright and 7th out of 19 in class. Over the next few weeks we will be preparing the X3 for Round 2 (Pooncarie) and then onto the big one in June!
