Reading should feel like an adventure, not a daily struggle 💚📖

While dyslexia is language-based, underlying vision challenges can make reading extra frustrating and tiring for little eyes.

If your child skips lines, gets headachey, or loses their place during storytime, a gentle vision assessment can make a world of difference.

At Eyecare Kids, we’re here to help bring ease, clarity, and confidence to every word.💬

Reach out to our friendly team today to support your child's reading journey!

National Eye Health Week 👁️💚

21–27 September

Your eyes work hard every day. Give them the care they deserve.

National Eye Health Week is a reminder that good eye health matters at every age. Regular eye tests can help detect changes in your vision and eye health, even before you notice a problem.

👓 Haven’t had an eye test in the past two years? Now’s a good time to book one.

Look after your eyes. Look after your vision. 💚

“My child will grow out of myopia.”
❌ MYTH! ❌

Myopia often develops and progresses during childhood. That’s why early detection, early intervention, and regular eye examinations matter. 👁️✨

This Myopia Action Month, don’t wait for your child to tell you they can’t see clearly. 👓

🏊‍♀️ Love swimming, but struggling to see clearly?

For kids with myopia, blurred vision can get in the way of enjoying the water.

Ortho-K (night lenses) may offer a glasses-free day. Worn overnight, Ortho-K lenses temporarily reshape the cornea to provide clear vision during the day.

But it’s not just about seeing clearly. Ortho-K is also an evidence-based myopia management option that may help slow myopia progression by slowing the growth of the eye.*

Clearer days. More confidence. More time in the water. 🏊‍♀️💚

Ask us about Ortho-K today. ✉️

Children rarely complain about changes in their vision. Blurriness just becomes their normal, especially if they don't know any different. So don't let that happen for your child.

Myopia Action Month is a reminder to check, not guess.💚

Just as children wear helmets when riding bikes and protective gear for other sports, it's important to consider appropriate eye protection for sports where there's a risk of eye injury.

Protective eyewear may help reduce the risk of eye injuries during sports such as:
🥎 Cricket
🏀 Basketball
⚽ Soccer
🏑 Hockey
🎾 Racquet sports

Protecting young eyes means they can keep enjoying the activities they love.

Does your child play sport? Eye protection is important to help reduce the risk of eye injuries and keep little eyes safe.

Book an appointment with Eyecare Kids today and ask us about protective eyewear* for your child's favourite sport. We're passionate about helping children see and play with confidence.

*Protective eyewear should be designed for the sport being played and meet the appropriate Australian/New Zealand safety standards.
