Flow Fertility At Flow Fertility, we provide comprehensive fertility care – from assessments to IVF – led by Sydney’s expert fertility specialist, Dr Gavin Sacks.

At Flow Fertility, we first offer a comprehensive fertility assessment with our Sydney fertility specialist, Dr Gavin Sacks, to identify the problems and associated fertility issues that need to be addressed. Dr Sacks is one of Australia’s leading IVF specialists and developed ‘The Bondi Protocol’ – an immune therapy that is affordable, easily accessible and effective in women with high NK cell levels. Known for his direct approach, Dr Sacks believes there is no one-size-fits-all fertility treatment. Flow Fertility offers a range of specialist fertility treatments, including IVF and non-IVF options, with the recommended treatment approach tailored to your specific needs. We can also assist with fertility preservation, such as egg freezing, and provide a second opinion on your fertility treatment so far, particularly if you have yet to conceive despite one or more cycles of IVF.

Honesty is one of the most important parts of fertility care.

Sometimes that means having difficult conversations about how age can influence fertility. But honesty also means recognising that statistics don't define an individual. They provide context, they don't predict your journey.

When I meet with a patient, my job isn't to tell them what will happen. It's to help them understand where they are today, what their options are, and what we know based on the best available evidence.

From there, we make decisions together.

More women are starting their families in their mid-30s and beyond, and that's completely normal.

Fertility does change with age, but my goal isn't to focus on statistics or create unnecessary worry. It's to have an honest conversation about what those statistics might mean for you.

Every patient's journey is different. My role is to give you the facts, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions with confidence.

One of the most meaningful parts of being a fertility specialist is the relationships I build with my patients.

This morning I joined the Today show on Channel Nine to reflect on Ilina's fertility journey and the emotional side of supporting patients through years of treatment.

IVF can come with many highs, lows and uncertainties. Over the years, I've shared some very emotional moments with my patients, and I'm not afraid of that emotion.

For me, fertility care is about more than the medical side of treatment. It's about building relationships, understanding each person's circumstances and being there to support them through the challenges and decisions along the way.

Thank you, Ilina, for letting me be part of your journey.

The eggs you have today are the eggs we have to work with.

It might sound confronting, but it's also why understanding your fertility is so important.

While there is a great deal of research focused on creating new eggs, it's not something medicine can do today.

Whether you're thinking about trying for a baby now, planning ahead, or simply wanting to understand your fertility better, having the right information can help you make informed decisions.

Every fertility journey is different. That's why these conversations matter.

When a patient with PCOS comes to see me about having a baby, my honest first reaction is encouragement. More eggs than average is a real advantage in fertility treatment.

The new name, PMOS, finally reflects what we have known for a long time: this is not just an ovarian condition. It affects hormones, metabolism, and overall health. Understanding that fully is better for every woman living with it.

In fertility medicine, the truth can be hard to hear. Low ovarian reserve. Poor s***m quality. Multiple failed cycles. I will always tell my patients where things actually stand. But I have been doing this for over 20 years and I have rarely looked at a situation and felt there was truly nothing left to explore. Where you are starting from is just that: a starting point.

People ask me how I balance honesty with hope. My answer: they are not in conflict.

I am a realist. I will always tell you the truth about where things stand. But I have been doing this long enough to know that an honest assessment is not the end of the conversation. It is the beginning of finding the right path forward. I have rarely looked at a situation and thought there was nothing left to try. Genuinely rare.

Trying to have a baby is one of the most profound things a person can go through.

When it does not happen easily, that weight is real.

I became a fertility specialist because I wanted to be the kind of doctor who sits with patients in that weight. Not just someone who orders tests and adjusts protocols, but someone who is genuinely in it with them for as long as it takes.

A fertility journey is not just a medical process. It is one of the most personal, difficult, and hopeful things a person can go through. My role, and the role of everyone at Genea, is to make sure no patient feels alone in it. That means giving you the best clinical care we can. But it also means being with you through the hard times, not just the milestones.

That is what this work means to me.

Your fertility journey is personal, and your care should feel that way too.

Fertility treatment is more than a medical journey. It can be emotionally challenging, overwhelming and deeply personal.

At Flow Fertility, Dr Gavin Sacks believes compassionate care and genuine connection are an essential part of supporting patients through every stage of treatment.

Because every patient deserves to feel heard, supported and cared for throughout their journey.
