The setting for blepharoplasty depends on the type of eyelid surgery being planned and your individual circumstances. Some upper eyelid procedures may be performed under local anaesthetic, while other cases may require a hospital setting and general anaesthetic.
This decision is based on factors such as whether the surgery involves the upper or lower eyelids, the extent of the procedure, your medical history and what is most appropriate for your care. During consultation, Dr Charles Cope will discuss the recommended surgical setting, the type of anaesthetic and what this means for your recovery.
If you are considering blepharoplasty, please speak with your GP first and obtain a referral before arranging a consultation with Dr Charles Cope.
