Half of women struggle to sleep during menopause. Half. And most are told it’s just part of it. 🌙

It’s Day 3 of Women’s Health Week and today’s focus is rest — because sleep isn’t a luxury, it’s health. We’re joined by Tracey Martin, CBT-I sleep coach, to talk about what’s actually going on during perimenopause and menopause, and what you can do about it.

Small changes help. And if they’re not enough, CBT-I — Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia — is an evidence-based option that works. We offer it with Tracey at WHR.

You deserve more than just getting through the night. 💙

📌 Save this one. Tag someone who hasn’t slept properly in months.

Most of us were taught to squeeze, nobody told us to let go 🌿

You pelvic floor needs both - and if movement has felt complicated because of leaking, prolapse, or pain, a pelvic floor assessment might be the missing piece.

Penny Hanlon, WHR pelvic floor physio, breaks it down 👆Book via the link in bio.

Nobody warned us about this part 🙋‍♀️

Weight gain in perimenopause and menopause isn’t a willpower problem. It’s a hormonal one - and it deserves a real explanation.

Falling oestrogen, insulin sensitivity changes, disrupted sleep, cortisol - there’s a lot happening beneath the surface that traditional diet advice completely ignores. Which is exactly why we’ve put this together.

We’ve partnered with Judy Hanavan, Certified Practising Nutritionist, to break down why midlife weight changes happen and (more importantly) what actually helps.

Tomorrow, Women’s Health Week begins 🌸

This week was created by Jean Hailes for Women’s Health - and every year, it’s a reminder that women’s health deserves more than a rushed appointment and a “you’ll be fine”.

This year’s theme is ‘Do it Anyway’ - a call to prioritise your health even when life gets in the way, even when you’ve been dismissed before, even when it feels easier to put yourself last.

At Women’s Health Road, we’re using the week to show up for you with content, conversations, and a little honesty about what women actually experience in their bodies. From nutrition and movement to rest, mental wellbeing, and the conditions that too often go unheard - we’re covering it all.

If there’s something you’ve been putting off - a symptom you’ve been explaining away, a question you haven’t had the chance to ask - let this week be the nudge.

We’ll see you all week 🩷

Heavy menstrual bleeding affects millions of women worldwide, yet it is often dismissed as something women simply have to live with.

Innovation in healthcare is changing that. From improved diagnostics to new treatment approaches, technology is creating better ways to support women experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding.

At Women’s Health Road, we believe the future of women’s health lies in combining clinical expertise with innovation to deliver earlier diagnosis, better care pathways, and improved quality of life.

This International Women’s Day, we recognise the importance of advancing women’s health through knowledge, technology, and global collaboration.
