One of my longest-term clients said something that stuck with me: a good trainer knows how to build a program an exceptional one knows when to change it.

Over the years we've adjusted her plan again and again: injuries, stress, hormones, shifting priorities. Never a generic template. Always the plan she needed for that season.

The result: she lost more than 10kg and has kept it off for 5 years, through perimenopause, without medication or shortcuts.

If your routine hasn't changed in months, maybe it's not that you lack discipline. Maybe it just needs to catch up with who you are now.

Comment ASSESSMENT if you want a plan built around your actual life.

What happens when you spend the whole day holding everything together… and by 5pm, there’s nothing left for you? 🤍

For Sara, it looked like exhaustion, irritability, no patience with her family and that feeling of being completely drained by the end of the day.

She thought she was just busy.

But when we started looking more closely at her routine and what her body needed in this stage of life, things began to make more sense.

And this is something I hear from so many women.

“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”

“My energy has disappeared.”

“What used to work for me doesn’t work anymore.”

Perimenopause and menopause can bring changes that feel confusing, especially when no one has ever really explained what may be happening in your body.

And you shouldn’t have to figure it all out alone.

🌸 Stronger, Calmer, More You is a morning created for women to slow down, move, learn, connect and have honest conversations about this stage of life.

We’ll talk about our changing bodies, wellbeing and practical ways to support ourselves, while also experiencing movement and a beautiful nervous system reset session.

TBT to my first 9km run. Cardio has never been my strong side, not even close, so when my friend Bruna asked me to do this with her, I said yes before I could talk myself out of it.

It was hard. There were moments I wanted to stop. But that's kind of the point for me these days, pushing past what feels comfortable and finding out what's actually there on the other side.

Grateful for friends who pull you into challenges you'd never sign up for alone.

I started forgetting words in meetings and quietly questioning my ability.

I knew what I wanted to say, but sometimes the words simply disappeared.

I would lose my train of thought, reread emails and struggle to concentrate on tasks that once felt easy.

The worst part wasn’t forgetting something.

It was wondering if other people had noticed.

I began questioning whether I was still as capable, sharp and confident as I used to be.

But I wasn’t losing my ability.

My body was changing, and hormonal shifts, interrupted sleep and constant stress were affecting the way I felt and functioned.

Understanding this helped me stop blaming myself and start giving my brain and body the support they needed.

If brain fog has started affecting your confidence at work or in everyday life, comment ASSESSMENT.

Let’s understand what may be happening and identify the support your body needs now.

Got my biggest tattoo about 15 years ago . A dragon holding the earth, right across my body that's carried me through every version of who I've been.

It made me think about something I come back to a lot lately: this body isn't all of me. It's the part I get to shape and decorate and take care of, but it's not the whole story. What I believe, how I love, what I've survived, that lives somewhere else too.

So I ink it, train it, feed it, rest it, whatever makes sense for me in that season. Not because it defines me, but because it's the vessel doing the work.

Perimenopause doesn’t always arrive with an obvious warning.

Sometimes, it looks like losing your energy halfway through the day.
Struggling to focus on things that once felt simple.

Feeling irritated with the people you love — and guilty immediately afterwards.
Losing interest in intimacy.
Trying to control everything because you no longer feel completely in control of yourself.

From the outside, you may still look capable, productive and strong. But inside, you might be wondering:

“Why don’t I feel like myself anymore?”
You are not lazy.
You are not weak.
And you are not failing.

Your body and mind may be asking for a different kind of support during this chapter.

On 18 October, we are creating a special in-person experience where women can pause, move, have meaningful conversations and reconnect with themselves and each other.

We’ve been taught that balance means keeping everything perfectly steady.

Work. Family. Training. Health. Relationships. Rest.

But life doesn’t actually work that way.

There will be seasons where you need to focus deeply. Say no more often. Push yourself. Choose growth over comfort.

And there will be seasons where your body needs something completely different.

More sleep. More recovery. Less pressure. More space.

The problem isn’t getting out of balance for a season.

The problem is staying in the “push” season for so long that exhaustion starts to feel normal.

Especially for women who are used to being the strong one, the productive one, the one who handles everything.

You don’t need to perform at 100% in every season.

You need to recognise which season you’re in and give your body what it actually needs.

Because recovery isn’t the opposite of high performance.

It’s part of it. 🌿

What season are you in right now?
