The Support at Home price caps that were due to start on 1 July 2026 have been deferred (with no new date confirmed at this time.)
If that sentence landed somewhere between frustration and a laugh, that makes sense, and we understand.
A lot of people in aged care have spent months preparing for that date. And now it has been pushed, again, with more uncertainty to absorb and more questions to field from clients who are already trying to make sense of a system that has been in transition since November.
We are not going to pretend that it is not exhausting. It is.
What we can say is that the clinical work we do for your clients has not changed and will not change based on what is happening with pricing frameworks.
When we assess someone for home modifications, falls prevention, or assistive technology under Support at Home, we are focused on what will actually keep that person safe and independent at home, within the funding that is available to them.
That is the job, regardless of what the policy environment is doing around it.
If you have a client who needs OT input and you want to work with a provider who has seen enough reform cycles to stay steady through this one, we are here.
