Girls are diagnosed with ADHD far less than boys π§
Not because they have it less.
Because it looks different.
For girls, it's often quiet
None of the hyperactivity teachers are trained to spot. So it gets missed. Over and over.
Most women don't get answers until their 30s or 40s β often only after their own child is diagnosed, and they finally recognise themselves in it.
By then, decades spent thinking they were just messy, forgetful, or not trying hard enough π
A late diagnosis isn't a missed chance.
It's the moment things finally make sense.
If this sounds like you, a proper assessment can give you real answers + a way forward β¨
π Have you or someone you know been diagnosed later in life? What changed after?
