Hayley is a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Continence Nurse Advisor with over 23 years nursing experience. She holds a bachelor of nursing and post graduate certificate in continence promotion. She has been a continence advisor for 12 years and has enjoyed working with children and their families to conquer bedwetting. She currently holds a position as a Continence nurse advisor at St George hospital a

s well as working in private practice in the area of Urogynaecology. What is bed wetting? Bedwetting, also known as nocturnal enuresis is when the bladder empties while a child is asleep. It’s common, about 1 in every 5 children wet the bed in Australia. It can be distressing for some children and families but thankfully there are successful treatments available. When to seek help

It is important to seek help from a health professional such as a continence nurse as they can properly assess your child and guide them through appropriate treatment. Generally, from the age of 6 is a good time to seek help. Occasionally it is useful to seek help sooner if the child is distressed by wetting and wants to become dry.

About Rainbow Kids
Rainbow Kids is a private continence service with a mission to assist your child to achieve their continence goals with individualised care, compassion and understanding. Assistance is offered to children 3-18 years with:

• Diurnal enuresis (day wetting)

• Encopresis (Soiling)

• Constipation

• Nocturnal enuresis (night wetting)

• Toilet training needs

• Special needs requiring Continence support.

Rainbow Kids can also provide Continence Assessments that support NDIS clients.

(We are not an NDIS registered provider)

School hours appointments are offered to primary school children and out of school hours appointments are offered to high school students.

Appointments are Monday to Friday via Zoom meetings.
