One of the biggest mistakes people make is waiting until they feel motivated.

The problem is that motivation is an emotion. And just like happiness, excitement, frustration or stress, it comes and it goes. If your health depends on how motivated you feel each day, your results will always be inconsistent.

The people who achieve incredible transformations aren’t motivated every day. They simply have systems they follow regardless of how they feel. They train because it’s scheduled. They prepare their meals because it’s part of their routine. They prioritise sleep because they know it impacts everything else.

Stop chasing motivation. Build habits. Create structure. Stay disciplined. Because the days you don’t feel like showing up are often the days that make the biggest difference.

The amount of people that I see doom scrolling on social media in between their sets absolutely kills me and it’s because of the fact that I know how much of a disadvantage is they are putting themselves in when they do this.

Fortes LS, et al. (2021)
“Mental Fatigue From Smartphone Use Reduces Volume-Load in Resistance Training.”
Published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.

This research paper found that people who scrolled through social media before a workout experienced:

* Greater mental fatigue.
* Higher perceived exertion (RPE).
* Lower motivation to train.
* Approximately 29% lower total training volume.

Keep your phone in your bag and smash your session!

Most people think strength training is about changing the way you look. I couldn’t disagree more. This incredible woman came to us after suffering a shattered elbow and being diagnosed with early-onset osteopenia. Today, her bone health has stabilised, her strength has improved beyond what she ever thought was possible, and her body composition has completely transformed. That’s what happens when you stop chasing quick fixes and start building a stronger body for life.

This is why I’m so passionate about helping people train properly. Strength training isn’t just about building muscle. It’s one of the most powerful things you can do for your bones, your metabolism, your confidence and your long-term health. Your current diagnosis doesn’t have to determine your future.

I’m incredibly proud of everything she’s achieved. She trusted the process, stayed consistent and never gave up, even when things weren’t easy. This transformation is proof that with the right plan, the right coaching and consistency, your body is capable of far more than you think.

👀 check the sweat patches 😂

BUT
.One of the biggest issues with the modern diet isn’t just the amount we eat. It’s the imbalance between our omega-6 and omega-3 intake.

Omega-3s play an important role in supporting the body’s natural anti-inflammatory processes. Yet the average Western diet has an omega-6 to omega-3 ratio of around 15-20:1, far higher than what’s considered optimal for long-term health.

Why does this matter?

Chronic, low-grade inflammation is associated with many of today’s most common health conditions, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, arthritis and other metabolic disorders.

Health isn’t just about treating disease when it appears. It’s about creating an environment where disease is less likely to develop.

Know your numbers. Test your omega-6:3 ratio. Then make decisions based on data, not guesswork.

Too many people wait until something goes wrong before they start taking their health seriously.

We wait for the diagnosis.

We wait for the symptoms.

We wait until our body forces us to make a change.

But health shouldn’t just be about reacting to sickness.

It should be about being proactive.

Getting tested.

Understanding what’s happening inside your body.

Knowing your numbers.

Paying attention to the warning signs.

Making changes today that your future self will thank you for.

You service your car before the engine blows up. Why wouldn’t you take the same approach with your body?

Longevity isn’t just about living longer. It’s about staying strong, healthy, capable and independent for as long as possible.

Don’t wait until you’re sick to start caring about your health.

Start while you’re healthy.

Twelve months ago I made a decision. Not to lose weight fast. Not to chase a quick before and after. To actually rebuild.

That’s the part nobody wants to hear. Real change takes a year, sometimes longer. It’s not glamorous. Most days it’s just showing up when you don’t feel like it, eating well when nobody’s watching, and trusting the process even when progress feels slow.

No crash diets. No burning yourself out in the gym. Just consistent training, better habits, and systems that actually stick.

Twelve months of small decisions added up to a completely different body and a completely different mindset. That’s the trade off. Give up the quick fix, get the result that lasts.

If you’re still chasing the fast way, stop. Build the slow way instead. It’s the only one that works.

For as long as I can remember, my mum has always put everyone else first.

She’s the one who showed up.
She’s the one who gave.
She’s the one who sacrificed.

Now it’s my turn to help her.

My grandmother passed away at just 69 years of age.

My mum is now 61.

I’m not accepting that I only have another 8 years with her.

Maybe I can’t control everything, but I can help her control the things that matter most.

We’re focusing on the simple things.

Strength training.
Daily movement.
Nutritious food.
Quality sleep.
Managing stress.
Building habits she can actually stick to.

Not because we’re chasing perfection.

Because we’re fighting for more birthdays.
More family dinners.
More memories with her children.
More memories with her grandchildren.

Health isn’t about looking a certain way.

It’s about giving yourself the best opportunity to be here for the people who love you.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to start looking after yourself, this is your reminder.

The people who love you don’t just want you alive.

They want you healthy enough to TRULY live.

“ANTHONY!!! You post so often on social media. Why so much?”

People get upset when their post doesn’t go viral on social media.

But I firmly believe that you’re forgetting the reason why you’re doing what you’re doing if you get upset over these small things.

Impacting people is a very important part of what we do for work and irrespective of whether we impact 1 person or 1000 people, the goal is always the same..,

TO HELP!

12+ years in and this is still one of the best things I’ve ever built. Not the numbers, not the equipment, the people.

Walk into PTA on any given session and you’ll see it straight away. People cheering each other on. People who started as strangers now showing up for each other outside the gym too.

That’s not something you can market your way into, it’s built one honest session at a time.

We’ve never wanted to be the biggest gym in Kingsgrove. We wanted to be the one where you’re known by name, where someone notices if you’re having a rough week, where the standard is set by the people around you as much as the coaching.

If you’re part of this community, thank you. You’re the reason this thing works.

Growth doesn’t feel good while it’s happening. Most days it feels like friction, second-guessing yourself, showing up when you’d rather not.

I keep pushing because I’m not just building this for me. There’s a version of you that’s stronger, more confident, more in control of your health, and I want to be someone who can actually help you get there. That only happens if I keep developing, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Comfort doesn’t build anything worth having. Consistency does.
