JUNE IS MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH MONTH

And we are going to talk about it. Seven men every single day take their own lives. Seven men every single day feel like their life is worth nothing and that they are worthless. Seven men every single day, take their last breath and leave a huge hole in their family life and their personal life and amongst their social network.

Reach out to your brother. Reach out to your fellow male. Check in on him and make sure that he’s doing OK.

We salute every single father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle, brother, son, and caretaker who got a ball and beyond to look after their families and their loved ones.

You’re never too masculine. This world needs more masculinity.

George came to us stuck in a cycle he couldn’t break.

He’d done the diets. Lost the weight. Put it back on. Started again. Lost motivation. Stopped. Sound familiar?

It wasn’t a lack of effort. George is one of the hardest working people in the room. The problem was he never had a system built around his actual life. Every program he’d tried demanded perfection and fell apart the moment real life got in the way.

When he walked through our doors, we didn’t put him on a crash diet. We didn’t destroy him in his first session. We sat down, figured out what was actually going on, and built something he could stick to.

Remember, we’re building muscle NOT fat so the focus on all 3 macronutrients is very important.

A higher amount of calories consumed is a must (either maintenance or a surplus in calories).

Eating 5 meals per day is a must.

Ensuring that you sleep well is a must.

Training hard is a must.

I deal with many people who have Type 2 Diabetes or may have high blood sugar levels.

DON’T F**K WITH HIGH BLOOD SUGAR! FIX IT!

IT’S WWAAAYYYY MORE DANGEROUS THAN CHOLESTEROL.

If your blood sugar levels are constantly spiking and crashing, it’s no surprise you feel tired, hungry, moody and craving sugar all day.

Stable blood sugar = better energy, better focus, better recovery and better body composition.

Simple habits make the biggest difference:
• Prioritise protein with every meal
• Don’t skip meals
• Build meals around whole foods
• Get your daily steps in after eating
• Strength train consistently
• Manage stress and improve sleep
• Reduce highly processed foods and liquid calories

Most people don’t need extreme diets.
They need better structure and consistency.

Your body responds best when you give it stability.

Three practical tips I give every client who’s struggling to stay on track

For sleep: Stop trying to just “go to bed earlier.” It doesn’t work if your brain is still wired. Instead, create a shutdown routine. Same time every night, screens off 45 minutes before bed, dim your environment, do something that signals rest. A book, a stretch, a hot shower. Your body runs on rhythm. Give it one.

For nutrition: Stop trying to be perfect and start trying to be prepared. One session per week is all it takes. Get your proteins cooked, have some easy options ready in the fridge, and make sure you’re never more than a few minutes away from a decent meal. The people who eat well consistently aren’t more disciplined than you. They just removed the friction.

For training and recovery: Three sessions a week, 45 to 60 minutes, focused on strength. Lock them in and protect them. Then treat recovery as part of the program. Eight hours of sleep. Protein at every meal. Stress management. These aren’t bonuses. They’re the foundation. Without them, even the best training program won’t deliver the results you’re after.

Simple systems. Consistent action. Long term results.
