What an incredible weekend for Patrick! 🦈

Patrick took to the field with the Score Sharks at the Grand Final, playing in front of a massive crowd of more than 47,000 people. It was a huge milestone for the team, and Patrick was right there in the heart of the action.

The Sharks went up against the undefeated Score Dragons and held their own right to the final bell, securing a thrilling 4-4 draw after a fantastic last-second try. Every single player showed incredible heart, teamwork and real passion.

We are so proud of Patrick for being part of this history-making game.
It was one of those special days where the energy, support and community spirit were truly electric.

A massive well done to Patrick and the entire Score Sharks crew. Up Up!

A day in the life at Garden House is never boring.

Morning tea turns into laughs and art. This then turns into everyone jamming together to music. It’s the kind of day where connection feels easy and creativity shows up naturally. This fills the room with the energy of people enjoying each other’s company.

What makes Garden House special is the sense of belonging. Everyone is welcomed, included and encouraged to be themselves. It’s a place where the people we support feel involved and part of something meaningful.

Moments like these are what make Garden House feel so unique.

We were delighted to attend the Annual Community Grants and Subsidies Presentation last week. We are thrilled to share that Sylvanvale has been awarded a grant by the Sutherland Shire Council

It was wonderful to connect with representatives from so many organisations that make such a valuable contribution to our local area. We are incredibly grateful for this generous support. This grant allows us to continue doing what we love most, which is empowering people with disability to live the lives they choose right here in the Shire.

A heartfelt thank you to Sutherland Shire Council for your ongoing partnership and for bringing everyone together for such a special event.

Huge congratulations to Alex!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Alex has recently earned his ‘Building Your Skills’ certificate from SGSCC, with a special focus on safety!

At Sylvanvale, we are passionate about empowering people to live full, independent lives and achieve their personal goals. Seeing Alex reach this fantastic milestone is a brilliant example of exactly that.

What made the day even more special was the wonderful show of community connection. Alex’s friends were right by his side to cheer him on and celebrate his success together!

An EPIC showdown took place at Social Club this week…

Xavier and Ollie went head‑to‑head in an ultimate game of pool, complete with dramatic shots and lots of laughs from everyone watching.

Social Club is all about moments like this, a chance for the people we support to enjoy spaces in our community. It enables an environment where they can have fun, try new things and enjoy time together.

Who won? You’ll have to watch to find out.

Today we came together across Sylvanvale to recognise R U OK? Day and to spend time connecting with one another.

At Sylvanvale, we know it’s often the simple moments that matter most. A chat over a coffee, taking a moment to listen, sharing a laugh, or asking someone how they’re really going can help people feel supported and valued.

Whether it’s with the people we support, our colleagues, families or friends, genuine connection can make a real difference.

Today, and every day, take a moment to check in with someone. A simple conversation has the power to change someone’s day.

💛 R U OK?

This week at Sylvanvale Activity Centre (S.A.C), Classics from the 80s filled the room and gave everyone a chance to express themselves in their own way.

Thanks to The Rhythm Village movement, rhythm and pure joy took over, creating a space where people felt free to be themselves and have fun together.

Creativity and expression are powerful ways of creating community, and it’s S.A.C’s mission to help foster an environment where the people we support feel seen and included.

Want to be part of it? Follow the link in our bio to join S.A.C.

Checking in with the people around us matters, and R U OK? Day is a reminder of how powerful a simple conversation can be.

At Caringbah Craft Centre, our team has created a special R U OK? Day‑themed robot to spark connection, start conversations and spread a little kindness.

If you’d like to support the message and bring this unique creation home, our R U OK? robot is available to purchase. It’s a bright reminder to pause, check in and make space for the people in your life.

And today, take a moment to ask a friend, colleague or loved one if they’re okay. A small question can make a big difference.

Happy Educators Day to our amazing team at Mikarie Child Care Centre!

Today we celebrated the educators who inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence in our children every single day. They create a safe, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

To say thank you, our team enjoyed relaxing massages and gift bags as a small gesture of appreciation for all the care and dedication they bring to our centre.

We’re so grateful for everything they do and the positive impact they have on our children and families.

Happy Educators Day to our wonderful team.
