🌳 The Survivor Tree

Among the heartbreak and memories of Ground Zero, one living thing quietly tells a story of hope 🌳 🍃

Found buried in the rubble after September 11, the Survivor Tree was badly burned and broken, its roots damaged and branches shattered. Yet somehow, it was still alive.

It was rescued, carefully nurtured back to health, and eventually returned to the Memorial in 2010.

Today, its old scars remain alongside new growth—a beautiful reminder that even after unimaginable loss, life can begin again.

Not forgetting. Not erasing the scars.
Just finding a way to grow around them. 🌳 🌿 🕊️

Two years ago, we stood here at Ground Zero.
A place of unimaginable loss, courage and resilience.
Some places stay with you long after you leave.

Having just lost my own dad the month before, this place touched my heart in a way I’ll never forget. 😢💔

Holding the memories gently, and remembering all those whose lives were changed forever. 🕊️🍂

Behind the scenes… 🌸

While you’re going about your busy lives, we’re behind the scenes creating something very special for you. 🤍

Tracey and I have been busy planning, preparing, dreaming and probably drinking far too much tea! ☕️😂

We’re creating Awaken & Bloom as a beautiful opportunity to pause, breathe and reconnect.

Tonight’s class was a wonderful blend of Intuitive Dance and Moving Meditation at Swami’s Retreat, followed by a relaxing body scan Savasana
Such a great way to tap into our intuitive body using music, rhythm and that delicious balance of movement vs stillness ✨😊🙏✨

✨Made using images, as no photos were taken of our ‘free movement’ class for our guests privacy ✨

The Path Between …

One step.
Then another.

Not hurried,
not effortless—
only willing.

The path rises,
asking more of us
with every winding turn,
every weathered stair,
every deeper breath.

Strength isn’t always loud.
Sometimes
it’s the quiet choice
to keep going.

To trust the path
even when the summit
is still hidden.

And then…

The trees part.
The sea appears.
A shoreline stretches before us—
untouched,
peaceful,
waiting.

Beauty was never only
at the journey’s end.

It lived in every step,
every pause,
every moment
we choose to continue.

May we remember
life’s most precious places
are rarely reached
by standing still.

Keep walking.
Keep trusting.
Keep opening your heart
to the quiet miracles
just beyond
the next rise✨🌊🌕✨
