When children are struggling, behaviour is often the clue, [not the problem].

One of the biggest misconceptions about behaviour is that it needs to be "managed" or "stopped". As therapists, we take a different approach. We get curious.

We ask questions like:
๐Ÿ’ญ Is this child feeling overwhelmed?
๐Ÿ’ญ Are they able to communicate what they need?
๐Ÿ’ญ Could sensory experiences be impacting them?
๐Ÿ’ญ Are the expectations matching their current capacity?
๐Ÿ’ญ Do they feel safe, connected and understood?

When we understand what's driving behaviour, we're much better placed to support children to develop the skills, confidence and strategies they need to thrive.
