Gym maths vs mum maths. One of these I’ve mastered.

This morning at the gym I was asking the trainer about tracking my weights. Do I record the whole weight, including the bar, or just the plates I add on? He said recording weights is just simple “gym maths.” I couldn’t work out why I found this sooo hard. Then I realised, it’s because I’m already doing mum maths: naps, food, snacks, water, toys, nappies, poos, activities, my own lunch, groceries, laundry, bags etc.

What’s in your mum maths? 👇

Burnt out by the mental load? That’s my jam. Link in bio.

Tired but wired? You’re not imaging it.

When your body is running on stress, your energy dips, your mood tightens and anxiety gets louder. For women, hormones, blood sugar, sleep and nutrient status all play a role.

When anxiety starts to dial up, it is usually a sign something isn’t working right. Your body asking for support.

Before diving into testing and fancy supplements I always want to see what you are actually eating. Many of the women I see are actually under fuelling their bodies.
Under eating is a stressor on the body.

Here’s where I start with clients:
✨ Review a diet diary to see what is actually going in and when, because the timing also matters!
✨ Focus on a protein and fibre rich breakfast within an hour of waking to stabilise blood sugar and reduce cortisol
✨ No coffee on empty stomach. Caffeine only after food
✨ Prioritise 3 proper meals daily + a snack

Feeling flat and anxious? Book a Discovery Call with me and and we’ll work out what your body needs.

MATERNITY LEAVE 💗

You may have noticed things have been a little quiet around here lately… and for a very lovely reason — I’ve been busy growing a tiny human! 🐣

I’ve been soaking up this season slowly, focusing on my current clients and taking care of myself as I prepare for this next chapter.

I am now officially on maternity leave. I plan to be back in clinic sometime mid-to-late 2025, with a few little updates here and there before then.

I love the work I do and can’t wait to return with a fresh perspective when the time comes.

While I won’t be available for consultations during leave, I’m more than happy to recommend some wonderful practitioners if you need additional support during this time.

Thank you for being here — I look forward to reconnecting soon 🫶✨

WINTER : the perfect season to slow down, turn inward, enable ourselves to ‘rest and digest’ and nourish the body so we can support the immune system, the adrenals and nervous system.

Winter foods help to ground us and boost our immune system. We want to focus on foods that are nourishing and easy to digest such as
🍠 Grounding root veggies (pumpkin, sweet potato, cooked/cooled potato, beetroot)
🍲 Easy to digest slow cooker meals and soups
🥝 Vitamin c and prebiotic rich foods like kiwi fruit and Jerusalem artichokes
🥬 Liver loving bitter greens such as radicchio
🧄 Anti inflammatory alliums - leeks, onion, garlic all help to clear mucus
