Coming to the end of the year means its election time!

Nominations for the LMOA Executive Committee for 2020 are now open (you must be a member to apply). Please send your nomination to [email protected] with a blurb about why you would be best suited for the role by the 22nd of November. Voting will be open thereafter and the committee will be announced at this year’s Christmas Party on December 5th 2019! 🎊

The Liverpool Hospital Staff Ball is just around the corner! Hands down the best social event of the year so get your dancing shoes ready for an amazing night!
Like every year we will have JMO tables (We’re currently in negotiations for trying to get subsidised tickets for LMOA members so stay tuned!)

Don't forget to nominate your favourite supervisor (registrar or consultant) for the LMOA Welfare and Wellbeing award - for a senior medical officer that has shown ongoing support towards the ongoing education and welfare of JMOs.

Just a reminder - send in your posters with a speal if you want to apply for the LMOA Clinical Research Grant - $500 for a poster/ clinical paper that you have contributed to over the past year or are due to present some time this year! Hello all
As the term ends we will be having our end of term party! We are aware everyone will be very busy preparing handover and discharge summaries for their incoming colleagues so we have made the event close to home! It will be at The Warwick on 30 August! We will have a private bar with bar tab alongside food being served jkn stop from 5:30 to 8pm! Drop by and get fed whilst preparing all those summaries!

The LMOA has always had ongoing commitment to supporting its JMOs in all fields. This year our goal was to create a strong focus on supporting and promoting ongoing clinical education through Dr. B Well.
We are very proud to introduce the “Liverpool Medical Officer’s Association Clinical Research Award”.

We will be awarding two grants worth $500 for any JMO that has shown a commitment to clinical research through either publishing papers or poster presentations.

The applications will be judged by the DPET unit. Any member of the LMOA executive or a consultant/supervisor that is listed as an author or helped with the project will be exempt from participating in this process.

To apply please send a written application of 250 words or less describing your project with your poster/abstract.

Conditions of applying:
Must be a member of the LMOA
Project/Poster must have you listed as the first author
Need to provide receipt of conference registration
Provide us with photos next to your poster
Not to be used to mandatory courses that are a requirement of your training program ie ASL2, BASIC, ATLS
Claims in retrospect only applicable for any research activities applicable in the past 12 months
