Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending The Check-In, surrounded by a room full of wonderful professionals from across many disciplines, all coming together in support of an incredibly important cause. 🤍 Katie and I have both worked across the children and adolescent mental health, as well as adult trauma spaces for several years, and su***de prevention is something we feel deeply passionate about.
Lifeline is a national charity providing 24/7 crisis support and su***de prevention services to people experiencing emotional distress. Lifeline’s crisis supporters are volunteers who receive training to provide compassionate support to people experiencing distress and crisis.
We know that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community. Su***de prevention is not just about responding when someone reaches crisis point; it’s actually about creating safe spaces for conversations, recognising when someone may be struggling, reducing stigma, and ensuring people feel seen, heard, supported, and connected.
Sometimes, a simple check-in, a genuine conversation, or letting someone know they don’t have to navigate things alone can make a meaningful difference.
We’re grateful to have been part of a room filled with passionate professionals committed to making a difference. The more we come together, share knowledge, and prioritise mental health, the stronger our collective impact can be.
A heartfelt thank you to Amanda from LAWGIX ~ Legal Services Simplified for inviting us to be part of this meaningful fundraiser and for bringing people together in support of such an important cause.
If you’d like to support this important work and contribute to su***de prevention, please find the donation link in the comments. Every contribution helps support the vital work Lifeline does in our community. 💛
