Ayurveda offers a different way of thinking about wellbeing. Rather than focusing only on what we do when we feel unwell, it encourages us to pay attention to the small changes happening within us every day.
How are we sleeping?
How is our energy?
How do we feel after eating?
Are we feeling rested or constantly depleted?
What changes do we notice with the seasons, our environment and our daily routines?
At the heart of Ayurveda is the understanding that each person is unique. Our needs can change according to our stage of life, lifestyle, environment, season and individual constitution. What creates balance for one person may not necessarily create balance for another.
It also reminds us that we are not separate from the world around us. Our wellbeing is influenced by our relationship with ourselves, our environment and the rhythms of nature.
This is one of the reasons Ayurveda traditionally places so much value on self-awareness, daily routines and recognising changes before they become bigger imbalances.
These principles have quietly shaped the philosophy behind Kundalini Temple — taking time to understand the individual rather than approaching wellbeing as one-size-fits-all.
Perhaps caring for our wellbeing begins simply by becoming more aware of what we need.
