Do you remember the first time you ever tried lobster?

For so many, it brings back delicious food memories and for some, it's a memory they haven't made until entering one of our homes.

In Temora, our residents recently enjoyed a truly special luncheon, featuring delicious garlic and lobster mornay, fresh salads and wonderful desserts. For many of our Temora residents, this was their very first time trying lobster, making the occasion even more special and adding a wonderful new experience to their day.

A huge thank you to our talented chef, Hun, and our incredible catering team for creating such a beautiful and memorable meal. The feedback said it all, with residents sharing how special, delicious and thoughtfully prepared everything was.

As people are living longer, their morbidities may also increase at the same time.

And sometimes, the medication you're recommended to take by specialists and professionals can compete and interact in a negative way with each other.

Through this trial, we hope to achieve the balance of taking the medication that is required while also tailoring the dosages to what is needed based on every indiviudal.

Pharmacogenomic testing stands to make a real difference in this space and we're excited to share more about this soon.

A Country Roundup to Remember at Whiddon Wingham!

The sun was shining brightly as team members and residents stepped out in their finest country and western gear for a fantastic Country Roundup event in the newly refurbished courtyard!

The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, vibrant decorations, and the wonderful sounds of entertainer Heath, who kept everyone tapping their toes with his country music. For many of our residents, who spent years working on dairy and beef farms, the music brought back fond memories and sparked plenty of stories about life on the land.

Our kitchen team put on a delicious BBQ spread, complemented by hay bales thoughtfully brought in by Nurse Sarah, which really brought the rustic theme to life.

It was heartwarming to see everyone gathered together - residents, families, and staff alike. A special shoutout goes to our wonderful volunteers for joining in on the fun, and of course, to our resident cow (a permanent fixture generously donated by a resident's family), who watched over the festivities!

We celebrated a beautiful milestone at Easton Park - Arthur Webb Court as Joe and Lorraine marked 59 years of marriage together.

The couple enjoyed a special, intimate lunch for two in Joe's room, complete with balloons, flowers and a romantic table setting, creating a lovely, personal celebration true to what Joe and Lorraine enjoy most.

Surrounded by thoughtful touches and each other's company, the pair were delighted with their special day, a true testament to a lifetime of love, companionship and commitment.

Congratulations, Joe and Lorraine, on 59 wonderful years together. Here's to many more moments of love and connection. 💕

Residents at Whiddon Redhead recently enjoyed another wonderful visit from Jemima and Sue from Wearing Your Memories, with this month's vintage fashion presentation themed A Day at the Races 🏇.

More than a fashion showcase, their sessions bring about wonderful memories and meaningful conversations. Inspired by their passion for fashion and dementia care, Jemima and Sue create experiences that residents love, and there's never a spare seat in the room. 👒

Our beautiful client from South West Sydney, Vera enjoyed a lovely day out with Dianne, visiting the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Spring has sprung at Whiddon! 🌞

With the warmer weather and colourful blooms arriving across Australia, our residents have been making the most of the season and enjoying the beauty of nature in their own special ways.

In Temora, residents took a scenic bus trip to visit the region's famous canola fields, soaking up the stunning golden landscapes.

Mudgee residents showcased their creativity and artistic flair through flower arranging, creating beautiful displays inspired by the season.

Meanwhile, at Easton Park - Taylor House, residents enjoyed a tea trip to Flower Power at Mount Annan, spending time admiring the vibrant colours and natural beauty on display. The outing also provided an opportunity to purchase new plants, with some residents enjoying potting them up when they returned home.

It's wonderful to see our residents embracing spring, staying active, and finding joy in the beauty that surrounds us. 🌷

Residents at Whiddon Temora - Narraburra Lodge enjoyed a fantastic day out at the 129th Annual Temora Show, taking in all the sights and community spirit the event had to offer.

The group spent the day exploring the pavilion, admiring the impressive wool displays, arts and crafts, and enjoying a delicious lunch together. A visit to Sideshow Alley brought plenty of laughs, with some residents trying their luck and taking home a few prizes. The day was topped off by watching the exciting tractor pull, providing the perfect finish to a memorable outing.

It was a wonderful day of fun and shared experiences, creating plenty of special memories along the way. 🧡
