Three days at Interdisciplinary Conference on Psychedelic Research (ICPR) 2026 in Amsterdam đˇ
What I valued most wasnât any single keynote: it was the quality of the conversations. Connecting with clinicians and researchers from across the globe doing rigorous, thoughtful work in psychedelic-assisted therapy is genuinely nourishing for practice.
The field is in an important phase right now. The evidence base is strengthening particularly around psilocybin and MDMAâs capacity to facilitate neuroplasticity, shift entrenched cognitive and emotional patterns, and support lasting therapeutic change in ways traditional pharmacology hasnât replicated. The conversation is shifting toward implementation: how we do this safely, ethically, and with clinical integrity.
Connecting with Australian colleagues navigating the same regulatory and clinical questions was a reminder of how much shared ground there is and how much we learn from each other across contexts.
And yes, it turns out psychedelic practitioners also know how to have a good time. The after party was a reminder that the people doing this work are just that: people. Warm, curious, committed â and apparently also quite good on a dance floor. đş
This is a field worth being part of.
