💜🐾 Happy World Veterinary Nurse Day! 🐾💜

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible veterinary nurses who make such a difference to our clinic, our patients, and their families. 🩺🐶🐱

To our wonderful team of vet nurses, thank you for the endless hard work, dedication, compassion and kindness you bring to everything you do. From comforting nervous patients and providing essential care, to supporting our vets, reassuring worried owners and keeping everything running behind the scenes, the work you do never goes unnoticed.

Being a vet nurse means so much more than caring for animals. It means being there for them on their hardest days, celebrating their little victories, offering comfort when it’s needed most, and giving so much of yourselves to patients who can’t always tell you what’s wrong. It takes a special kind of person to do this job, and we are so lucky to have such an amazing team. 💕

Thank you for the long days, the sleepless nights, the emotional moments, the countless cuddles, and the unwavering love you give to every animal that comes through our doors. Your dedication, resilience and big hearts make a difference every single day. 🐾

Today, and every day, we appreciate you more than words can say. Thank you for being the wonderful veterinary nurses you are! 💜

🐾 Can you help us find this little one’s family? 🐾

This very cute but timid little kitten has recently come into our care after being found abandoned in a carrier in the Coles Engadine carpark. 💔

Our team have given this little one a safe place to stay, but unfortunately, they aren’t microchipped, so we haven’t been able to identify their owner.

We’re hoping that by sharing this post, someone in our local community may recognise this kitten or know where they have come from. 🏡

If you have any information that may help us reunite this kitten with their family, please contacts us on (02) 9548 3345.

And if you’re the person who found this little one and brought them to safety — thank you. ❤️

💛 R U OK? DAY 💛

Today is a reminder that sometimes the simplest question can mean the most: R U OK?

Working in veterinary medicine can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be emotionally and physically demanding. Between caring for sick and injured patients, supporting worried owners, navigating difficult decisions and sometimes experiencing loss, our days can carry a lot more than meets the eye. 🐾

So today, check in with your colleagues, your friends, your family — and the people who might not always say when they’re struggling.

Ask the question.
👂 Listen without judgement.
💬 Make space for an honest conversation.
🤍 Let them know they’re not alone.

And remember, you don’t need to have the perfect words or know how to fix everything. Sometimes, simply being there and listening is enough.

R U OK? 💛

🐈‍⬛🏡 Meet Otto — our golden oldie looking for his forever home! 🐾💙

At 11 years young, Otto has perfected the art of enjoying the finer things in life — head scratches, sunny naps and a good old-fashioned chat! ☀️🐱💬

This handsome senior gentleman is looking for a loving home where he can spend his days relaxing, soaking up the sunshine and reminding you that no conversation is complete without his input. 😂

Senior cats like Otto have SO much love to give, and we’d love to see this sweet boy find the forever family he deserves. ❤️

🏠 Otto would be best suited to a home where he is the only pet. He hasn’t been tested with other animals, so for now, we’re looking for a family where he can be the centre of attention.

If you think Otto could be the purr-fect addition to your family, please get in touch with our clinic to find out more about him and the adoption process.

🦷 Like Mother Like Daughter! 🦷

Meet Miss Willow, Nurse Maddy’s much-loved cat, who clearly decided that if mum was going to lose teeth, she should join in too! 😭

Just two days after her owner had her wisdom teeth removed, Willow lost one of her canine teeth due to a condition called Feline Oral Resorptive Lesions (FORLs). Safe to say, they weren’t exactly the dream recovery duo! 😅

FORLs are one of the most common and painful dental conditions we see in cats. They cause lesions that slowly eat away at the tooth, often out of sight below the gum line, and many cats hide the signs incredibly well. Some clues can include drooling, difficulty eating, chattering when food touches the tooth, or simply becoming a little quieter than usual 🐈

The good news? Once painful teeth are treated, most cats feel so much better and are back to their happy selves in no time 💕

Willow and nurse Maddy are now recovering well—and we’re hoping both have left the tooth-losing in the past! 💜🐱

Has your cat had a dental check lately? Regular dental exams can help us spot problems before they become painful. Right now we are offering free dental checks and up to $250 off dental treatments until 13th September.
