Yoga Moves You "YOGA is not about touching your toes. It is what you learn on the way down." Welcome to Yoga Moves You! Turn your face to the sun, feel and listen.

How often do we find ourselves focusing on the negatives, on the things we miss in our lives, choices we made in the past, worries about the future. This is when we are standing in the shadows of our life while all around us are rays of sunshine. We sometimes tend to loose our sense to see the light, feel the warmth and enjoy being who we are. Yoga can change lives! It can make you both emotionally and physically healthier, stronger, and more balanced. Which can motivate you to make better choices in your life and can light the way to be more compassionate & human. Let those sunrays in, be you and let go of your shadows. Embrace every new day with a smile! My yoga classes are a blend of Hatha, Vinyasa & Yin with a safe, compassionate and skilful approach focusing on breath, movements and body awareness. At YogaMovesYou you will find space and inspiration to explore and challenge your own limits. See you on the mat! xx

I’m taking part in the Can4Cancer Walk in Sydney and raising funds for a cause that sadly hits close to home for so many of us. Chances are, you know someone who has battled cancer, is currently fighting it, or has been impacted by it in some way.

I’m putting in the steps, but I need your help with the fundraising! Any donation, big or small, will go towards supporting cancer research and services for those affected.
If you’d like to support me, you can donate here!

Together we can help make a real difference for people and families facing cancer.

💛 Every donation counts. Every step matters. Every person helped is worth it.

“The faster we run, the more determined is the Universe to slow us down. The more embedded our methods of self-distraction, the more agitating the truth-aches calling us back to authenticity. The more eagerly we race to the sky, the more intense the lessons that bring us back to earth. The Universe has no interest in our flight from reality. It wants us right here. Nowhere else... but here.”
- Jeff Brown, Ascending With Both Feet on the Ground

In yoga, we call it a Drishti—a single, unmoving point of focus.
When you’re in a balancing pose and the room starts to sway, you don’t look at the person wobbling next to you. You don’t look at the clouds moving outside. You find one tiny, still spot and you lock in.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how much we need a “Drishti” off the mat.
When life feels uncertain or the news cycle gets heavy, it’s so easy to let our gaze wander to the chaos. But just like in Tree Pose, if you stare at the movement, you’ll lose your footing.
Stability isn’t about the ground being perfectly flat; it’s about finding your anchor. Maybe it’s a morning ritual, a core value, or just the rhythm of your own breath. Find your still point, fix your gaze, and let the rest of the world spin.

Mine has always been the ocean and the people around me. What’s your anchor??

The most important thing that Yoga taught me:

It’s not the perfect handstand, the seamless drop-back, or the complexity of a sequence that saves you. It is the presence you cultivate in every moment.

As I step into the crazy 50th, for me true longevity and a youthful spirit come from:
* The steady, rhythmic breath that anchors me
* Moving my body with intention every day
* Simple Meditation
* The people that surround, lift and laugh with me
* Meeting each moment and everyone with an open heart

Here’s to the next 50 years✨ on this magic earth.

Being back at the office is a total system shock. One day you’re moving freely, and the next, your body feels molded into the shape of an office chair.
After 8+ hours, your muscles don’t just “rest”—they adapt. You end up with postural debt, where hip flexors and chests tighten while glutes and upper backs go to sleep. That’s why post-work movements and stretches are a daily MUST!

* Fluid Resets: Movement acts as a pump, reversing fluid pooling and spinal compression to get nutrients flowing again.
* The “Hunch” Counteract: Yoga provides the extension (opening up) we desperately need to undo a day of flexion (slumping forward).
* Nervous System Regulation: Stretching releases the physical tension of deadlines held in your jaw and shoulders, signaling to your brain that the workday “threat” is over.
Give yourself the time to reset every day! 🧘✨

In challenging days, we find light in community. 🙏 So much love and gratitude for the amazing energy at RARE YOGA today. It was a beautiful reminder that connection and healing are truly found within, and shared with amazing friends.

As our teacher beautifully put it: “You don’t need to do yoga every day, but there will be a time you will be thankful you did.”

Creating space one breath at a time. ❤️

I dream of a word of peace, Where people can live a life of ease.
World where there is no difference between rich and poor,
Life being pleasant for living ever more.
I dream of a world of happiness, Where there is no sight of selfishness.
Where each and everyone can get their needs, And have belief in their deeds.
I dream of a world of kindness,
Where people can know that value of love is priceless.
Where people could realize that of earth we are all children, And to have a kind heart is better for all men.
I dream of a world of loving mates, Where people can realize all are great.
Where people can know that in this earth, With a kind heart people must give birth.
I dream of a world of peace, Where people can live a life of ease!

At Mount Bromo, you feel the cool air, see the vast caldera, and listen to the volcano’s quiet rumble. Here, you feel tiny, yet deeply connected to nature’s raw, untamed heart.
