At 5–6 weeks, ultrasound can pick up cardiac activity, but this isn’t the sound of a tiny, fully formed heart. It’s an early electrical flicker that helps those first cardiac cells learn to contract.

Understanding what’s actually happening in early pregnancy empowers people to make informed, compassionate decisions about their bodies and their care. 💜
