MYTH BUSTER
“Menopause only happens once.”
This is a myth — and there’s more to the menopause transition than a single moment in time.
Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause, when hormonal fluctuations can cause changes in periods and symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep disruption, mood changes and brain fog.
Menopause itself is defined as the point when you have had 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period, provided there is no other cause. Postmenopause is the stage that follows.
Understanding where you are in this transition can help you make sense of your symptoms and access the right support at the right time.
You don’t have to navigate the different stages alone. Support and treatment options are available throughout the menopause transition.
Chat to Dr Sonia Verma or Dr Eveliina Vinchenzo to understand which stage you may be in and what support is right for you.
