Dr. Shafaei (GP) asks Dr. Vesalpour (Chiropractor) about her role as a chiropractor in injury management of a patient with injury.

Injured at work or involved in a motor vehicle accident? A chiropractor can play an important role in your recovery, rehabilitation, and safe return to work.

At Elite Health & Wellbeing, we take a collaborative approach to injury management, working alongside your GP, insurance case manager, and other healthcare professionals to support your recovery.

How can a chiropractor help?

• Injury Assessment & Diagnosis: Assess musculoskeletal injuries, including neck pain, back pain, whiplash, joint injuries, and soft tissue conditions.

• Treatment & Pain Management: Provide chiropractic care, manual therapy, soft tissue treatment, and appropriate pain management strategies.

• Rehabilitation & Exercise: Develop individualised rehabilitation programs to restore mobility, strength, function, and confidence.

• Collaborative Care: Communicate with your GP, case manager, and rehabilitation providers to coordinate treatment and recovery goals.

• Progress Monitoring: Provide clinical reports, functional assessments, and treatment updates to support injury management.

• Return-to-Work Support: Help improve functional capacity and work tolerance through graded rehabilitation, workplace advice, and coordination with the treating team.

Our goal is not just to reduce pain, but to help you regain function, return to your daily activities, and safely transition back to work.

Whether you’re recovering from a workplace injury under Workers’ Compensation or a motor vehicle accident under Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance, we’re here to support your rehabilitation journey.

Treatment under an insurance claim is subject to eligibility, insurer requirements, and any necessary approvals.

Bulgarian split squats are great for:

* Building glute and quad strength.
* Training each leg individually, helping address strength differences.
* Improving balance and hip stability.
* Challenging your core to keep your body steady.
* Supporting everyday movements like climbing stairs, walking and getting up from the floor.

A slightly longer stance and forward torso lean generally emphasise the glutes, while a more upright position generally emphasises the quads.

Mounjaro vs Ozempic: how do these medications work, and when might they be appropriate for weight loss?

Join Dr. Elaheh Basiri, General Practitioner, and Dr. Nasim Vesalpour, chiropractor, for a friendly discussion about GLP-1 and GIP, weight management, and the benefits and risks of these widely discussed prescription medications.

We explore Ozempic (semaglutide), a GLP-1 receptor agonist, and Mounjaro (tirzepatide), which acts on both GIP and GLP-1 receptors. Learn how these medications affect your body and what to consider before starting treatment.

In this video, we discuss:

• How these medications influence appetite, digestion and blood sugar.
• Their potential benefits for weight loss and metabolic health.
• Side effects, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and constipation.
• Who may benefit—and when treatment may be unsuitable.
• Why your medical history, other medications and individual health goals matter.
• The role of nutrition, exercise and strength training during weight management.
• Why ongoing medical supervision is essential.

In Australia, Ozempic is approved for type 2 diabetes; its use specifically for weight loss is off-label. Mounjaro is approved for type 2 diabetes and chronic weight management in eligible patients.

Considering weight loss medication? Speak with your GP about your eligibility, the potential benefits and risks, and a plan that supports your long-term health.

Subscribe for more conversations about health, movement and wellbeing, and leave your general questions in the comments.

Your transversus abdominis is a deep abdominal muscle that wraps around your waist like a supportive belt. It works with the rest of your core to help control your spine and pelvis during movement.

A neutral spine means keeping your back’s natural curves in a comfortable position, without excessively arching or flattening it.

Before starting a strength exercise, gently engage your abdominal muscles while continuing to breathe. This helps create a stable foundation—especially during glute exercises such as bridges and hip thrusts, where you want the movement to come from your hips rather than excessive arching through your lower back.

Try this cue: “Ribs over pelvis, gently brace, breathe, then move through your hips.”

Your core already activates naturally during movement, so you don’t need to consciously “switch on” this one muscle before every exercise. A gentle brace is a useful technique cue, particularly when learning glute

Best B***y Machines in Syndey💪💪only at World Gym Melrose Park🤩

I have been waiting to do this right and with the massive drop in weight it has reduced my Glutes size and strength as well. I will be aiming to get my Glutes strong again and since I’ve suffered from Disc injuries myself, I know most importantly will be Glute activation prior to Glute growth. If you are starting your Glutes journey or just want to know more about Glute activation, DM me below and will be happy to show you how to turn them ON to get 80% more out of your workout. ***y
