Day 2 of the Advanced Skin Surgery Workshop with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. 🩺🔬

Today was all about tackling more complex flap reconstruction techniques—refining surgical planning, improving cosmetic outcomes, and continuing to develop the skills that make a real difference for patients.

Every workshop is another opportunity to bring evidence-based, advanced skin cancer surgery back to my patients at Narellan Medical & Skin. Continuous learning means better care, better outcomes, and greater confidence when managing complex skin cancer cases.

Looking forward to putting these techniques into practice for our South West Sydney community.

Day 1 of the Advanced Skin Surgery Workshop with the Skin Cancer College Australasia.

A fantastic day refining advanced surgical techniques, learning from leaders in the field, and exchanging ideas with colleagues who share the same passion for delivering high-quality skin cancer care.

Continuous learning is one of the most rewarding parts of medicine, and every course is another step towards providing better outcomes for our patients.

Looking forward to Day 2! 👨‍⚕️🔬✂️

Not every melanoma screams for attention.

This melanoma in situ was identified during a routine skin examination.
At first glance, it did not appear overtly chaotic — but subtle dermoscopic changes raised concern and triggered a biopsy.

This is why thorough skin checks matter.
Early melanoma detection is often about recognising the small details, subtle asymmetry, delicate colour variation, and patterns that don’t quite fit.

Sometimes the most important diagnoses are the quietest ones.
